  • Windy Weather

Just wanted to check everyone is ok with the terrible weather. We are in the South East and it is horrible at the moment. I am fearful of the roof coming off so am sleeping downstairs tonight. We have a 300 yr old cottage which is 3 storeys high.

Our bedroom is on the top floor and has 3 exterior walls which are timber framed and weatherboard education. The bed actually moves as the room moves so it's a bit scary.

Sending positive vibes to anyone affected by the good old British weather :-)

We are trying to sleep in the lounge. I am on sofa & Mr T is on the floor with the cat. Absolutely knackered

Think we survived haven't ventured outside as we woke up to no power. How my cousin managed at Christmas with no power for 2 weeks I don't know, I was in a panic after 1hr.

Tried to sleep but couldn't really. My sofa is ok to snooze on but not for all night.

Hope your roof is ok xx

 I didn't sleep either; all I could hear was the gusting wind, the leaves on our big palm tree and a sharp whistling noise coming through the sealant between the windowsill and the window frame!!!* Just as I would drop off the wind would gust and set off the whistling * Think it will be an early night tonight!! :lazier:

:shipwrecked: I really don't know how people are coping down in Devon and Cornwall area * Also in other parts of the South & North; we've been pretty lucky in parts of East Anglia ... stay safe everyone.
