Neighbours From Hell in Britain: November 2003 Newsletter

Neighbours From Hell in Britain - Newsletter: November 2003 (HTML Version)

Remember November:

Another month has passed, and the clocks have gone back and it is fair to say the Winter chill has really set in!

In the last month we have had 85 new members to the NFHiB forum board, a big warm welcome to you, sorry though you had to join us on the forum board as it means you have neighbour issues.

Anticipation of Statistics!

We are waiting in anticipation if one of our members was right, 'FreakyFun' has predicted we will reach 1000 members on 13th November 2003; we still have a way to go as we are now at 756. You can read the post at the forum board.

This post is in 'Members Only', so if you want to see the workings of this equation you will have to join up!

Newest Topic Leader:

Also in the last month we have welcomed 'Blue Cow' as our newest topic leader. Blue Cow has taken on a music topic forum area, called the 'Music Centre'. So if you want to share your favourite band or song please post there.

Also if you have to listen to any of your neighbour's music, what is it they play to drive you insane, and what would you play in theory to drive them mad?

A forum thread all about torture music is still going strong!

Our First Birthday!

Well October brought our first birthday, and yes we had a party - and oh yes, the beer flowed!

It was lovely to meet members in the flesh and finally put names to faces.

It was only a small meeting but a huge thanks to those who managed to make it to Leeds, the day really was great.

I will not tell you all what happened as I promised to spare some members blushes! (It involved drinking and dancing!)

Halloween Howls:

How did you cope with Halloween this year?

Was it as bad as you thought it was going to be?

I know some members had a few bad experiences on the night involving fireworks and bolshie trick or treaters.

Did you mange to stay safe and secure? Let us know about your experiences.

Firework Disturbance:

Talking of fireworks, what do you think?

The poll running on the main NFHiB website is about fireworks and the question is should they be restricted - have you voted yet?

So far we have had 111 people vote; the results are split pretty much down the middle at the moment, have your say on the issue at the main front page - www.nfh.org.uk.

Don't miss the spotlight article either, which is all about fireworks on the main NFHiB pages.

I didn't know fireworks had such a long history. Definitely worth a read.

Reviews -r- us:

Another new edition to the main web site is the long awaited book reviews, the first one is now up and the second will be along very soon. If you have read a helpful law or NFH related book, would you like to share a review with us?

The first review is available to read from NFHiB Reviews Online.

Any help is gratefully received.

Christmas Greetings:

Well Christmas is almost amongst us, but first we have to put up with the constant noise of fireworks. It will soon be November the fifth but that doesn't stop the whiz bangs going off on a daily basis.

Please stay safe at this time of year.

Until next time then, take care all. Till December!
