Hello everyone,
Sorry this edition is a little later than planned but I am sure you all know what it is like not having enough hours in the day!
Firstly we have a few members who have actually sold their houses and will soon be moving on to peaceful pastures, good luck to you all!
ITC
The members of the NFH forum board have been very busy these last
few weeks; we have been complaining to the ITC about a certain Doritos
television advert starring one Miss Kelly Osbourne! I don't know
if you have all seen it, it involves a loud party in an upstairs
flat and Miss Osbourne calling the neighbours "jerks"
for complaining!
Many members of the board feel that this advert has reinforced the fact that we live in an "I'm all right Jack" society.
A number of complaints have gone to the ITC via their online complaints form, if you feel you would like to complain about this advertisement too, here is the web site News Article which gives further information.
International Noise Awareness Day
April 30th is also going to be a big day. It is International Noise Awareness Day!
So what can you do?
Well firstly you can tell as many people as possible what day it is and why you feel noise can affect so many people in what ever way.
Secondly we would all be grateful if you could publicise the day by contacting your local papers and radio stations, don't forget to plug the NFH site as well!
We are also going to let TV programmes know, so if you would like to e-mail "Good Morning" or "the Wright Stuff", and others, please do!
Please let us know what you are planning by posting on the forum board. The more individuals who contact the media, the more chance there is of them running an article.
With as many people as possible that are aware there is a problem, the better. Many people have said to me "if you have not lived the problem you do not know there is one". I feel this is very true.
Even though my family witnessed the problems with my neighbours they could not comprehend that it was a daily occurrence and was wearing me down. That is why NFH in Britain was created - people who know what you have been through are always there with support and advice!
The board membership has now risen and we have just over 160 members! The more members there are, the more advice can be given. I hope we have managed to help you on the way!
Chat
There is now regular chat on both Sunday and Tuesday nights at 8pm, we would love to see you there. I must say that we are under represented by the male chatters on both nights and the chaps that do come have said they would like a few more "blokes" there to have "man" talk with!
Everyone, no matter of age or gender is welcome! Chat is available from the main NFH website.
And finally...
I wondered what everyone thought of David Blunkett's white paper on anti social behaviours. Were you impressed? Do you think it is worth the paper it is written on? Any comments at all please let us know via the forum board.
