  • 5 Cars.

    Hi,

So you wanted to know about the cars?

This isn't so much a neighbour from hell story, more of a neighbour from the local car dealer story.

There used to be a rest home next door to us that was sold to a bangladeshi family, they are quite pleasant folk and mainly keep themselves to themselves, now I have a VW golf, the battery had completely died and wouldn't hold a charge and the tax was about to run out, this was during the winter when it was snowing, the tax ran out 1 week before I got paid so my car was stranded for 1 week, I kid you not, 1 week, during that week, every time it snowed, the next door neighbours would go out and wipe away the snow around the tax disk to show that it had no tax. Pay day arrived and I bought the battery and moved the car round to the parking area at the back of our building, I then started to notice that the next door neighbours were also parking there, as were the builders that were working just over the back from us. I don't mind them parking there if there isn't any spaces after all their grandmother is quite elderly but there is a good reason these people don't have anywhere to park, they have five cars, five different cars, all white, if you look down at the street from our window it looks like a police garage, white cars everywhere. As far as I can work out there is only 3 of them that can drive. I'm not that bothered about it, just find it incredibly amusing that one family would buy 5 white cars, maybe they're hoping to join the UN?

    Well, you did ask.

    O:-)

How many people are there in this family, and how many of them could actually be drivers?

People never cease to amaze me. Wiping the snow away from your windscreen? it is just so pathetic, but sadly, I can believe it.

Perhaps they are police surveillance cars?!!!

My nfh is a single bloke with one parking space in front of his house. He has a VW Golf, big Volvo, his large works van, his partner's VW Golf and his friends visiting on and off.

      Hi Saint

What a cheek! Wiping the snow off indeed, were all their cars taxed, MOT'd, etc, I wonder?!

5 cars seems ridiculous, unless of course they are a family of 5+ and each one is used by a different driver/member of the family?!

Maybe the amount of cars is an extension to their ego?!

as far as I can make out there are only three drivers, each car is different, there's a Vauxhall Vectra, a Cavalier, a Metro, and Escort and a crappy looking Hyundai thing.

I forgot to mention that the day after I moved my Golf they parked the hyundai in it's place, untaxed. I actually caught one of them once peering through the window of my car once.

          Strange people.
