Twisted Willow

We have a lovely twisted willow in our Garden its about 5 M high and overhangs part of our deck.

During the winter we cut it back slightly as it was overhanging a pathway of the deck and down onto the garden.

Now the tree has foamy stuff on it and doesnt look well. Have we hurt it???

What can we do??

:( Haven't the foggiest zlate....my Japanese Maple has a spotted mould
growing on the bark too....will have a google later see if I can come up with something....www.bbc.co.uk/gardening might help you (my mate Alan is there!! ;) )
