Hi,
Just to let you know if you ever have a problem similar to mine, I found a great company on the net. They are called greenthumb and give you a free lawn analysis with no pressure at all. I had someone out recently doing my lawn analysis and he was great and yes I'm having work done but the price is incredibly low!
Cheaper than buying the insecticide and doing it myself in fact! So I'm well happy! :D Also they are going to give my grass (won't call it a lawn cause it isn't!) a makeover! I should end up with a lovely 'lawn'!!
Big thumbs up for greenthumb!
Bye guys! :D

Hi jazzyb :)

I am glad you like GreenThumb - they are great aren't they? I think they are cheaper than doing all the faffing about yourself too (buying the lawn feed, weeder, equipment, never mind the time it takes  ) .

Pity they don't mow the lawn too, eh ...?

I can guarantee that you will think it will be money well spent and your lawn will look fabulous soon too (the envy of your neighbours) B) .

Hi Mazza and Lady P,
Mazza, you've obviously used greenthumb before and I'm not surprised to hear your approval on them. :) I am so pleased I went with them and not some others that would have cost me a lot more. :)
They seem very proffesional and efficient as well as polite and cheap, so what more could you ask for?
Lady P,
It is a good site, they have local offices all over the uk, you just put your postcode in for the nearest one to you. I don't know about your problem but I bet they do!
He was also assesing my grass for weeds etc and is going to give my grass a treatment that will destroy all the weeds at the same time as using the insecticide.
To be honest they seem to specialise in 'weeds' more than my sort of problem but I didn't want to dig my entire garden up unless I really, really had to!!
I will found out for sure next year how effective the treatment has been, but for my problem they don't give guarantee's, it's a deterant rather than a destoyer. Fingers crossed all round!! :makewish:

I will be back!..............in my garden!!!!!...............at some time in the future!!!!!!

Mate, say good bye to the weeds...My grass is a dandelion free zone  . It's completely effort free :D . (apart from the pesky mowing, but then I have a keen 10 yr old to do that now ;) )

And I agree, the people that come to treat the lawn have wthout fail been so polite and friendly and you can ask them anything you like- it's no trouble for them to advise  .

I don't know how it works...but it works  :D .

So Just sit back and smile - you will have fantastic green grass in a matter of weeks!! :wow: I hope it works on the chafers too :clover: .

I feel such a numbskull now for not thinking about them for you before   .

:) .
