View Full Version : just for fun
there has been a lot on the news this week about the gulf leaders being captured and tortured by allies!
but they are being tortured by heavy metal music and the tweenies!!
what kind of music would you torture your NFH with if you ever leagally had the chance?
remember this is only a bit of fun and it is not recomended that you actually do it!!

I am going to think about my choices at work and will let you know tommorrow!
you each get two tracks to inflict hyperthetical suffering!!

Lift 'musack', country & western, and *anything* the total opposite to what the NFH like! (e.g. Classical Haydn if they like Rock etc!).

Ooops, sorry that wasn't two tracks - but ahhhhhhh well! http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif
Probably without doubt Pink Floyd and The Who played at full blast day in day out with the repeat of certain tracks over and over again to drive them completely barking !
In the meantime I would be sunning myself in the Maldives, while the CD player is programmed to 'Repeat'.
Make my day - make my holiday !

Definitely "Clocks" by Coldplay. Brilliant tune but used EVERYWHERE and now it drives me nuts. Also the theme tune to "Changing Rooms". Surely the most aggravating "tune" going.

My new NFH are torturing me with their boom boom boom bass http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif
So I'd play the 1812 Overture and The Planets Suite - only because I like them and I'm sure my NFH wouldn't http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

"Big Balls" AC/DC - played continuously (of course!)
"What God Wants" - Roger Waters (again, continuous...)
Could think of loads of bassy things, Big Bruvas (Favourite Things..), Destiny's Child (My Kind of Ladees...)
but those two suggestions blaring nonstop would be pretty cool in this neighbourhood.
And, when I have my summer barbecue, they'll be out in force - in fact, you can all bring your favourite two too. (Not Desmond). (Ballet frocks are permitted).

how about a CD of that awful music you have to endure whenever you are on 'hold' on a telephone constantly played 24 hrs at a suitable volume.
your mind would crack as you would constantly be waiting for someone to say ................"how can I help you!"

Cleo Laine and Johnny Dankworth at full pelt, I've long thought that should be used in torture camps.
My other choice is the 'Sing Something Simple' bunch on Radio 2 - mabe they're not still doing it. - something to be thankful for.

Spinks, The Cliff Adams Singers!! Didn't they just ruin Sunday afternoons on the radio?? I'll never forget tuning in and hearing them doing their harmony-with-accordion version of "Footloose". It was like the most surreal thing I've ever heard. I phoned up my mate and said "you GOTTA listen to this!!" It was incredible. And terrible.
Agree on the Laine/Dankworth front too. In fact, any of that twiddly boop-dee-oop-oop jazz. You know the sort where the audience just starts clapping in the middle of it?

The Cliff Adam singers - they're the beasts! Oh how many Sunday afternoons suffering that drivel on the radio while waiting for tea.
They can't still be in business surely? Have to check in RT.
Cleo Laine I would like to put a gagging order on - that isn't music it is one god awful row. no one possibly get any enjoyment out of that, except when it's finished.
Agreed on twiddley doo bop jazz. I have my foot, however precariously, in every musical camp except that one. Even then I like some of the 'set pieces' like 'Take Five' and a couple more well known ones, but "Do be do wah, do we dobe do ya day" in a high pitched voice I can do without.

The tempting rubber button .... otherwise known as the starter switch http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif . The old Minis used to have the button on the floor that you pressed to start the engine. I bet it had the bulbs that flashed on the ends of the indicator stalks as well, and a wavy grill .....
Don't get me started on my beloved Minis.
That DJ, could it have been ********ie David Hamilton? Or Ed "'allo darlin'" Stewart?

Here's my top tunes:
21st Century Schizoid Man by King Crimson
Gay Bar by the Electric Six -OK tune but after 20 plays...
Danger! High Voltage! by the Electric Six -as above...
BTW the really old DJ could have been Allen Keith or maybe Brian Mathew, both wonderful presenters.

my top tunes would be:
'welcome to the jungle' by guns' n' roses
something really depressing by the smiths, probably 'meat is murder' (id have to leave the area myself if i put that one on, its sooo horrible)
anything by barclay james harvest (sorry dad!) - hands up anyone who has heard of them???? i think my dad is the only uk fan.
something chirpy by foster and allen. just to fool the nfh into thinking 'aaah theres a nice inoffensive ditty'
rounding off with something really foul by eminem, maybe that song where he disses his mum constantly, every other word the 'f' one
i am certain a mass evacuation of the estate would be guaranteed if i played these on repeat for even a couple fo hours!!!!!

I really love the smiths holly, but that song is very sad indeed, particularly the mooing in the background.
enough to turn anyone veggie!
i dont understand why so many people hate the smiths they are fantastic!!! they obviously dont understand the deep and meaningful lyrics and great guitar riffs. nobody has equalled them since. but many have tried to copy....

:) Hi there,
The music I would legally play to annoy our nfh is from Songs of Praise over and over again? He would need prayers after a while????
Peace
This topic is so cool !
I have precisely two sets of lyrics that always pop into my head when I am in my garden and I have the misfortune to clap eyes of my neighbours -
the first is the Morrissey one where he sings:
'There are some bad pepole on the Right,
There are some bad, bad people on the Right,
they're saving their own skins by ruining peoples' lives...' etc
and the other one is a rave B) (sort of) tune quite recent in the charts and I don't know who it is by, but the words are:
'We don't want to know, about EVIL people, we only want to know about lo - ove...'
I would definitley BLAST these through the walls, make banners and leaflets etc etc - very apt for my situation... ;) (well, I can fantasise, eh?).

Try to find out what the favourite tune is the play a really naff version of it all the time, very loud.
For example Elbow has a rather novel version of the Destiny's Child song "Independent Woman," which has to be heard to be believed! :music:
Online game music!
It tends have an accompanying short music which seem to repeat and repeat. :hihi: And of course it will be mixed with funny noises when you shoot and get caught etc etc
Of course, if you are the one who is playing you won't notice cos you are concentrating on the game :hihi:  :P  :D :hihi:
"You are always on my mind" by Roy Orbison and not Pet Shop Boys version.
One of ABBA's song.
If anyone played the above repeatedly it will drive you nuts
It makes a change, I am smiling while I am posting ;)

topic re opened for anyone who would like to play!

There's no one quite like Grandma (St Winifreds School choir with the toothy bubbly haired little girl singer)
Slash Dot Com by Fatboy Slim (great, but enough for you to
tear your own head off after a few plays)

Theres a song by My bl**dy valentine called the glider remix which is about 15 mins long & sounds like rusty razorblades being s********ed along a rusty metal door.
never actually managed to listen to it all the way through- really maddening.
:D
Great thread!!!!
My nfh used to have 'Slade...Merry Christmas everyone'......over and over on a loop for hours, regardless of the time of year...............
I would love to pound out......shud'up aya face.....by joe Dolcee............
jj
Can't believe no one has mentioned the one and only....Des O'Connor!!
How annoying would that be? Probably, the world famous classic...'Dik a Dum Dum'
Max Bygraves - that's annoying me just thinking about it!! I think maybe 'You Need Hands' or 'I'm a Blue Toothbrush' altogether now........ you're a pink toothbrush............ :nfh1:
House of the rising sun :banghead: :banghead:
My NFH's favorite for of torture, fuul blast, on a Saturdy night.
