I just wondered if anyone had taken the Kalms tablets to relieve the effects of stress, worries, irritability and strains. This product, it claims, also promotes natural sleep.

Well, I started taking them on Thursday.

I feel a bit better. I don't feel as tired, but that could be anything?

I certainly don't feel as stressed.

I think I am calmer with the children too.

Maybe they do work????????

The reason I started these was because I felt so tired all the time, I read up a bit and thought I may be suffering a bit of stress, what with the nfh and all that, so I thought instead of going to see the GP i'd try these first.

Anyone else tried them? Did they work?

I would be really interested to hear your comments.

Thanks.

I tried about 3 different herbal remedies, including Kalms, but they didn't help me unfortunately. I know others who have tried them and they helped a bit. I also tried St.Johns Wort, and I can't remember the name of the other one, but it began with an 's'
The anti depressants I was prescribed by my GP took a while to work, but once they did I felt more in control and better able to cope.

I bought some Kalms, because we were due to go on a ferry and I am not very good near water.8-X I found they helped a bit and I did feel less scared than usual.
I carried on taking them when we got home and I have found that I get to sleep better at night and I do feel calmer when nfh starts (sometimes!!!)

I wonder if it is mind over matter?? :errrm:

Kalms, Quiet Life and other herbal tablets work in a nice, safe gentle way. Of course, if you want more details a properly qualified herbalist should be able to help with more information for you! :D

Hi sunny :D

I have never used them, but I know about three people who do and they swear by them.

One person I know tried anti-depressants from his GP but gave them up in favour of the Kalms (he had used them previously before his GP put him on the anti-depressants) .

A colleague of mine always has a stash in her desk and pops a few when she's feeling a bit 'under the cosh' too ;) .

I think, from the sound of it, that they do work then  .

Hope you continue to feel better then! :daisy:

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all your replies.

Yep I certainly do feel a lot better so I think I'll stick with them for the time being. :D

Tortoise; Maybe it is mind over matter, I did think of that one too. :)

Hippychic; a friend of mine is really into her crystals and auras, I love talking to her about this sort of thing.

Sp54; I was on anti-depressants years ago when I had my second child, and yeah they were fab, but I took myself off them after 3 months, as I could see I would be on them forever if I didn't. If they work for you though, then go for it. I think with all our troubles we need something don't we? I have gone on for so long without speaking to the gp, etc, and I just thought I needed something to help me out.

Mazza, my aunt is like your friend, she has a stash and takes some whenever she is anxious or stressed and she swears by them. I am also very 'calm' tonight too, but maybe that's the bottle of red??????!!!!!! :hihi:

Neighboured; Thanks for that. We don't have a herbalist around here, but if these don't work I will take your advice (thanks) and contact one. I know they are gentle and that's what I want at the mo. I don't have it half as bad as some of the members on here so I don't think I should be complaining!!!!!!! ;)

Anyway up, thanks again you guys, always a pleasure!!!!!
