Hi everyone,
My sister has burst a blood vessel in her eye again. This time her whole eye is blood red. Has any one else had this trouble?
GG.

Hi GG,
Never had this trouble, but seen it on others and I'm told it can be pretty uncomfy.
Found this short snippet for you:
Why do burst blood vessels appear in the eye?
What causes blood vessels to burst in your eye?
It is quite common for a blood vessel on the front of the eye to burst. The vessel in the conjunctival tissue that lines the white part of the eye (sclera). When the bleed occurs it makes the white part of the eye go very red and it can look quite spectacular causing some distress.
Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to prevent these happening despite some people getting them regularly. There is no treatment other than to wait for the blood to be absorbed. It usually takes about 2 weeks to go completely. There is some association with high blood pressure and these spontaneous burst blood vessels.

Hope she gets better soon. :)
Hi GG... :)
My boss had this happen to him and it looked bloomin awful  . There was nothing to be done with it - it eventually faded in time but it took a couple of weeks  .
My little lad had a slight one too and my GP said it is akin to having a bruise...some can actually turn purplish and then yellowish - just like bruises you's get on your skin...so don't be alarmed if this happens too.
It didn't happen to either my boss or my little boy though, so hopefully your sis will be fine :clover: .
It's worth her getting checked out though (if she hasn't already) in case there is an underlying problem causing it though.
Take care !
This happened to one of our primary school teachers, it did look terrible, she said it was sore but it went after a couple of weeks.
Poor thing.

I used to get these as a student (out drinking all night, then praying to the great god 'armitage' in the morning).
They would be sore as I'd rub the eye, but it would fade in a few days with no ill effect.
