Hi All,
ITV's new daytime offering Solution Street is to encourage neighbour to help neighbour to solve a series of shared problems and rediscover a sense of community spirit. The show airs over 4 days starting next Tuesday @ 2.45pm. The show has an on screen interior designer Tracy Gullen, who has also worked on programmes such as Grand Designs and House Doctor.
When I first read this in my local paper I thought the title possibly could relate to neighbourhood mediation Then the penny dropped another makeover programme which may well incite more neighbourhood jealousy, keeping up with the Jones.
Shame I will be at work when its on :(

It's a nice thought, but ...well it seems to me that they are suggesting that all our problems would be solved if we all sat down and talked over a cup of tea. It makes our misery look petty and trivial. I'm afraid I wouldn't want my NFH putting one toe inside my house - I violated enough by him already.
They wouldn't dream of doing a show like this between victims and their muggers/rapists/burglars as it would be highly insensitive.

I'd better stop here otherwise I'll end up in a full on rant and I don't want to get upset today. I've wasted too much time being upset, today I'm going to be happy. Tra la la la laaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for the tip I will look out for it

we do lack community spirit in some areas and you dont know if that adds to NFH issues :( e will watch and see, it would be good to have an update of this programme say in 6 months time to see if it really made a difference :flowers:
