Who's got personal insight?????? Who???? We're both big Brother fanatics and have been waiting for this for weeks - does someone on the boards live near the house?? Tell me pleeeeeese!!!!!

Nearest I got to big Brother was best friend shared a flat with a friend of a Big Brother producer and was going to get us tickets to the on of the eviction nights - then they ******fell out! I was gutted I can tell you, still, I know where the ex flatmate works...

Next nearest is, I was working with someone who was asked to bring his equipment in for one of the BB challenges. It didn't make it to the last series though due to reasons I can't disclose http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ph34r.gif but it maybe in this series!

Also someone else I worked with auditioned and didn't get through - GUTTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's in the current MFI ad!

I liked Alex from last year.

Er back to the plot. I've always thought the location of the BB house wasn't viable, it's far too near to a residential area and difficult to get to for eviction nights!!! I daren't say the rest... http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif

I have to shamefully admit, I watched a lot of BB 3 last time. http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blush.gif

I'd never seen hardly any of BB1 or BB2 (as I thought they looked very stereotypical etc) - and I started to watch BB3 by accident really, it was about 2 days in. I found it really hilarious and quite consuming, most of the time, in between the contestants swimming around and around and around the pool.............remember him?! http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

Alex was hilarious, Johnny was pretty funny, Kate was very nice, although I wanted Johnny to win.

We have E4, so it was good to tinker with the different cameras. I wish they wouldn't censor it so much though - I also viewed it on the web feed (most of that wasn't censored etc).

I wonder if BB4 will be decent? http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

Now look what you've done? I look and sound like a BB groupie, I'm not really! http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blush.gif http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/lol.gif

Eviction nights must make a racket! What withall the other entourage, camera crews & papparatzis I don't know how the n'hood will get to hear the contestants, unless one of the neighbours turns their telly up too loud!

We love BB too. Our nfh problem featured an excess of interest in our private home life (the poor sad saps have hours and hours of footage of washing being pegged out, lawns being mown, kids playing, plums being picked ......etc..........). I wondered if that may have been our bad karma for watching 'BB'. http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif

If we had E4 my life would revolve around the tv. That happened when Fame Academy was on and it was on digital nearly 24/7.

We've seen all the BB series - started watching it about two weeks into the first series. Whoever picked the music for BB is a genius as it fits perfectly.

It was Sandy that kept swimming (walking?) round and round the pool. He annoyed me to the point of distraction and he peed in the kitchen bin which was to quote Alex; "disgaaaaasting".

That Sunita women got me, the one who wanted out after a day - as she said; "It's not like I expected, too many cameras". - I nearly choked on my Bacardi!!!! What did she expect? A Buddhist retreat?

Alex buttoning his shirt behind the door to; 'That's the way I like it' was an all time classic TV moment.

Agreed Homer, eviction nights must be hell for the neighbours, plus you do get all the TV tourists who have to be chucked off by security guards on a regular basis.

But who has got inside insight??????? I wanna know!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed spinkysay - all time classic.

I have no personal insight. Who has it??

Glad you said that Sue http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif Sounds like your close, but not *too* close! http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

SUE!!!!! Get your guest bed ready, I'm coming down on the next train.

Do you ever go and take a look yourself? Like on a sunday morning when there are hardly any crowds and the E4 show is on??? I guess it's from a distance though as it's heavilly guarded - but still, some people manage to throw things over the fence.

Have to say, after loving Davinna doing the BB series, she's now
annoying with those same hand movements and the deep self deprecating voice she puts on sometimes. I'm beginning to find her wearing. I think because she failed miserably on 'Reborn in the USA' where she died on her feet as her humour and style is not 'big' enough for America, and of course all irony was lost. I cringed quite a lot when there was no response from the audience for her presenting style - which made her try harder which made me cringe even more!

I can't wait to see those cars pull up and the housemates step out!

I'm sort of glad you said that Sue - as I suspected it's all waiting and not much seeing - excepting the last night. So better to watch it on TV - but how sad on the last night when the camera pans around the empty house. Stupid, but that really gets to us!

Davina did one series pregnant and she wasn't so bubbly and alive and on the ball. She was determined to do it though. I believe Zoe Ball was on stand by during those shows.

Oh yeah the rows with Dollar - talk about handbags at dawn!!!

I've not watched much of the clebrity USA thing - but I did see the one where rod Stewarts ex peed near the drinking water - what is it with these people peeing where they shouldn't?? Plus some scary woman physically threatening her, whispering threats in her ear - I couldn't believe it! The final should have been Peter Cox and Tony Hadley, Michelle Gayle couldn't cut it - but I think nerves played a big part with her.
Tony Hadley has a great voice but a lot of the time looked like someone's dad having a go.
Bet you Davina turns up on Friday - even if she gives birth while presenting! She doesn't want to hand that over to anyone if she can help it!

Be afraid, be very afraid Homer http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

I was very tempted to post up the Carlsberg one, but maybe a bit too strong! http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

I was very tempted to post up the Carlsberg one, but maybe a bit too strong![/b] Yes Matthew, it would, and very cruel.

I actually got really angry about the way Jade was slagged off in the Daily Mirror. So angry I emailed the journalist (loosest sense) and had a go at him. We ended up having a bit of a correspondence going and you know what? In the end he was actually sticking up for her!! What a hypocrite. He said he was only writing what he was told to write - what a wimp!!!

I'm not saying Jade was the perfect lady, but she is a human being and some of the things that were being said about her were truly awful. She wasn't/isn't the brightest button in the box and I don't think she had the mental capacity to realise what kind of things would be said about her.

Anyway, I'll stop preaching now http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

Matthew

Agreed Misty - she must have been quite hurt by some of the un-needed and spiteful things said about her. As you say she's human like we all are - but BB contestants don't go in without the knowledge that their lives will literally be under the microscope etc. They are entering in the hope of winning a big financial gain.

Unfortunately, as memory serves me right she became the brunt of the other housemates teasing too - some would say though as a direct result and through her own manipulative, deceitful and 'two-faced' behaviour?

Having said that, I don't agree with the nasty names that she was branded with either by the press/public and their typical sensationalist 'make-it-up if you don't know' reporting - by posting her image hope I haven't endorsed that, just a wind-up April strategy! http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

Graham Norton was an interesting example about her - he started a Jade hate campaign of his own sorts on his show, then ended up supporting her! http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

April - I have a passionate interest in what people are really saying when they say something, what they're really doing when they do something, so this programme is a feast for me - as no one can keep up a facade for long without their mask slipping and the real person - the reality that we are - coming out.
One thing that really gets me though, is the newspapers having open season on the housemates. Cheap, tacky tatty reporting I loathe.

Jade being a good example - but what strength of character has she shown in response? Admirable I'd say.

Graham Norton was going so over the top with his comments the legal bods were alerted and he started to calm it down - did you all notice it happened very suddenly?) So he had to make amends and was there on her eviction night and had her on his show etc. I like Mr Norton and in the beginning i laughed at the comments, but I couldn't laugh when they got more and more nasty. He was talking about a real person not a cardboard cut out. Yes, that got way out of hand I believe.

Sue - American Idol - we are hooked!!!! Boyfriend a tad more than me. Paula Abdul - where do I start, she sits so fimly in the middle of the fence her b*m must have indents. The sickly, cheesy, crappy, comments that come out of her mouth I find unbearable. Also if the big fells says "Hey dog" one more time....
It means nothing!!!!!! Yeah shame about that guy losing the words, still I think Ruben Studdard (?) should win. That marine should have been with his unit surely, not spending weeks trying to be a pop star!!!

OK, who admits to watching it tonight?! http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

We missed the first few minutes and one or two of the contestants coming into the BB House, but it all seems interesting so far.

I sound like a BB groupie now.........! http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif Not honest.............

Although, we've had E4 on already (can't say I like the set out of the interactive this year http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif ).

Question is: Should we have a Big Brother forum folder?! (Seriously - get your 'nominations' in now..........)

Beth

but make your answers quickly as we have got to get back down stairs for 10:45pm for the first nominations!!

gawd I sound as sad as Matthew!! http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

but just how good can life get.....

a pot noodle, glass of wine and being able to take the perverbial out of the poor saps locked in a house!!

I love it!

I remember thinking the press were horribly cruel to Jade.

I also remember how nasty Jade & her mate Adele were to Sophie. Other than inspiring envy, Sophie did nothing to deserve that.

That's my aftr-the pub tuppence worth.

(burp)

Thanks for restraining yourself from sticking up the Carlsberg piccy, Matthew. I really do NOT need to chunder right now.

Agreed, Sophie didn't - I thought she was quite nice and it was a shame that she didn't get a longer chance to stay in, she could have been interesting...

Ahhhhh well, you can feel sorry for them (and I have done) but on the other hand they all know what they're letting themselves in for after all http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

Sue - no one esle I know has seen American Idol either!

As for Clay. I look at the banners that girls are holding in the audience saying 'Clay you make my day' and other more adoring pleasentries and think that Clay won't be making any girls day... except maybe in their dreams.
When Simon Cowell said Treneece loked like a drag queen - what can you say to that!!!! For me he was the voice of reason though, although didn't agree with him all the time - but lets face it, his was the opinion they most respected. Shouldn't get too personal though should it? And you're right, a lot was made of Rik Waller's weight and Ruben was just called the big guy.

I also didn't like the marine's attitude to Cowell. He didn't like a few home truths did he? He's obviously so used to being called fantastic and wonderful, that the truth becomes almost an insult.

Oo er, roll on BB tonight!!!!!!!!
