And I can't really say how I did it. It might have been when I twisted my foot on the way back from the hospital visiting Mrs Ns mum, (she's out now) or when I stubbed my toe.
My toes are bruised, as is my foot and please let me tell you this IT HURTS LIKE... well, it hurts. Considerably. ;)
However, I have learnt to use crutches, an interesting experience.
A not interesting experience was when I slipped off the £$%&ing crutches and landed SMACK down on my bad foot.
My temper was not improved when I discovered that the reason I slipped off the crutches was because the nurse who adjusted them for me accidentally set one of them too high! :hihi:
Sadly, though the Doctor wanted me to take ten days off work, I can't, as the paper I work on is going to the printers on Monday. I am having one day off, then the managing director will collect me in his Jaguar! Ooh, there's posh! :D
BTW, hey, Ribbits! You ain't entered any of the competitions, yet!
Ouch, ouch and treble ouch, poor you Neighboured :(
Ah the NHS though, the nurse setting your crutches wrongly :hihi: good job she didn't have to give you an injection ;)
Awwww NB
Poor you :flowers:
Nice to know your boss is sooooo sympathetic........a whole day off? ;)
Take care

No whisky... though I do have a bottle of Calvados to hand! :)
Sadly, there are some things that only I can do. :)

Dear Neighboured,
I hope that your foot is feeling better soon. Ripped ligaments are so painful. Are you having any physio? You poor old sausage! I hope that Mrs Neighboured is treating you like a king!
Hi Nb
You poor lamb!!!!
Last year I went to pick up my two eldest from school along with my littlun and her parm and dolly too!!! We came out of the school gate and proceeded to cross the little road to where our car was parked, as we were crossing littlun accidentally pushed her dolls pram infront of me and we ALL went flying over into a pile in the road....I scooped up the kids out of the road and fled in embarrasment only to discover that my foot was killing me, I could not walk and when I got home my toe had popped out of the socket and was twisted around facing the wrong way. !!!!
So, just to say I can so sympathise with you !!
JO
I hope the calvados is numbing the pain Neighboured :D

 Lordy, JJ, that sounds abysmal!!! :wow: :wow:
Poor NE, hope you get better soon....i have knackered my foot twice and the bruises that spread up your leg are truly gobsmacking... :crybaby:
keep the foot raised as much as poss. and massage the afflicted areas gently to help disperse the bruising and loosen the tension in the ligaments.... :victory:

JJ, you poor thing! :o
LP, glad I was able to help! :)
Thanks, everyone, for your concern.
Mrs N. treated me like a King. Sadly, now I am having to nurse her through a Norwalk virus. And when she is sick it always goes into her nose and chest.
