I used to watch eastenders , then as you do when your the male of the house hold you stop watching it Just so you can annoy the mrs by asking WHOS THAT everytime a new face pops up

Well it suddenly occured to me Jeez Eastenders has witnessed more murders and deaths than The Texas chainsaw masacre and Halloween Combined.

Ethel was mercy killed by Dot cotton
Eddie royal Killed by Nick cotton
Tiffany run over by frank butcher
Jamie mitchel Run over by Martin fowler
Sasha killed by Steve owing
Andy hunter killed by Johnny Allen
Den watts killed by his loving wife Chrisy
Arther Fowler (killed by a wound recived in prison)
Paul trueman (gangland killing)
Barry Evans Killed by Jinine
Steve own died in a burning car watched by a unhelpful Phil mitchell

I was curious if the other soaps have similar Curse's attatched to them ?

 Shows what I know... I didn't realise that most of those characters weren't still in the show.  I wonder if any of the other shows like Corrie, Brookside, Emmerdale, etc have had the same sort of history.

Also along with deaths there have been attacks. Kat was attacked by her uncle and then the same thing happens to Little Mo twice! Kathy Beale was attacked and had a baby way back and then was attacked again by the bloke who owed the Dagmar. It seems if no-one dies they get raped instead.
I still have it on though, just in case a miracle happens and someone says something funny.
Oh don't forget Andy Hunter died too recently and there was a funeral for Angie Watts.

 Gosh its a miserable, depressing soap, isnt it???

Now I am sure loads of people have snuffed it in Corrie over the years, but for some reason it doesnt make you feel like slitting your wrists over it.... ;)

I wonder if that might be down to the far superior writing and sense of humour in Corrie which is totally lacking in EE

Oh I think EE has some humour. Like Gary & Minty going speed dating and Jim teaching Dot to drive.
I watch Corrie every now and then, but can't get into it. I'd like to give Emmerdale a go, but haven't a clue who anyone is.

Since having a NFH we feel as if we are living in a soap opera
