just to say if you were planning on going on strike on Wednesday dont! :D as its been called off, it seems the goverment have changed their minds about the pension issue and will now be negocating with the unions :thumbs:

so bad luck if you fancied the day off work! :D

I'm pleased that the strike is off :thumbs:

I work in LA, and a strike causes so much disruption to the public, and so much unrest among the workforce, although i'm off work at the minute I wouldn't have been on strike but a lot of my colleagues have contacted me and said they are glad it is off - not a way to genuinely resolve matters :)

me too ;) it does cause an incredible amount of disruption, it certainly can effect the people I work with, I am on a day off anyway! :lol:

Hmm, just a few weeks before an election, worried that a huge number of public sector workers might vote against them. Lets see if they sing the same tune after the election.

do you know, my manager said that to me yesturday, practically word for word! :D that is either very spooky or it is the way 800,000 public sector worker feel ;)
