Awww.

Just read that the lovely, funny, cheeky Irish comedian has finally gone to meet his own maker.

He was such a hero for me when I was little, and I was amazed at some of the things he got away with saying!

Also, he had half a finger missing, just like my dear old uncle, who passed away last year.

Very very sad

Oh, dear! He was a great humourist, rather than "just" being a comic.

I will miss him.

Dave Allen was a hero to me during my growing up years. His brilliant sense of humour, coupled with an acerbic wit, and irreverence of authority made him a brilliant comedian.

Some people may have been upset by his language or material, but I am sure the majority of the public welcomed his tv appearances.

RIP

I was very sad to hear of this

I loved Dave Allen, incredibly funny, he saw such truth in everyday situations, I've got loads of his videos, even the whole of the last TV series from 1993 :)

He will be sadly missed
