I have just heard for the umpteenth time Mcfly's Red Nose day song, 'It's all about you'. It is driving me mad, because I know the song as a theme tune to a TV show.

Now, I think it is Brush Strokes, from the 80's.

Can anyone, please, confirm this, or shoot me down in flames. :pow:

And, what is your favourite them to a TV show? Mine's the theme to the Sharpe series.

The Brush Strokes theme was "Because of you (these things I do) by Dexy's Midnight Runners. It does sound similiar but isn't the same song. Whether the McFly song is a cover or an original, I'm afraid I have no idea. I don't recognise it. Perhaps you've just heard it so often that you think you remember it from the past?

I heard it last night and thought it sounded a little bit familiar, but I can't think why

Hi I am not convinced it is a cover version either...I am sure I saw a bit about them in Africa the other day and they got lots of school kids out there to sing it with them. Then after, they said how proud (and tearful) they felt having heard the children sing a song they wrote...?

I must admit, that song is plaguing me too - every morning when the radio comes on, there it is, when I get into the car, there it is, when I put the radio on the the kitchen,,,yup, there it is!

Even my two yr old woke up this am singing it    .

Fave theme tune...The Professionals, hm, also Potman Pat !

The one I heard last night was (i think!!) a muppets song! I've got a feeling that Kermits nephew used to sing it.

the other one is apparently an original

Tom Fletcher from the band wrote the single All About You especially for Comic Relief. The song remarkably features a 60-piece orchestra! The second song on the single is a cover of Carole King's classic hit You've Got A Friend.

80s child here, never missed an episode of Rainbow :) (whisper)I bought a DVD not too long ago in fact(whisper)

But my fave theme tune has to be Raggy Dolls. "dolls like you and me", ahh such a good lesson for lil kiddies, I wish they'd put it back on telly.

At work I tend to burst into song quite often, and kids' TV theme tunes are great for raising a laugh. Rosie and Jim, Inspector Gadget, Poddington Peas and the such-like do get infuriatingly stuck in your head though.

Ooh can't believe I almost forgot - "don't you open that TRAP DOOR! Cos there's something down there!" :P
