just saw on sky news that Bruce Springsteen is having a concert at a little cricket club (think its somerset?)

there have been loads of objections and even though tickets had been sold the license had not been approved.

the local office turned them down and then an appeal was made

quess what?..........it was over ruled because it was him!!

so if you are a big name you can disturb local residents as much as you want with your rock concert noise!

personally I am disgusted, what do you think?

Agreed Beth, seems one rule for him..........................

Maybe he (ahem) paid the local council off? I wonder how much they'll benefit from this concert? Mhhhmmm, I expect they will make a few quid in profit in lots of areas related to such a concert.

I'll see if I can find the news story for the main site http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

Flippin' typical!!!! Remember when there were all those objections to Mike Tyson coming over here? They were ignored as well if I remember rightly.

Why do the words, 'grease', 'palms', 'back' and 'hander' come to mind? http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif
