This came from the 10 Ten Albums topic - I love Jonathan Livingston Seagull book too, it's written by Richard Bach - read more at amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0006490344/qid=1106602250/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/202-7203083-3902248). :)

He also wrote Illusions (another great book), there's some quotes from it here (http://www.eskimo.com/~wayneld/illusions.html). :D

More quotes from Richard Bach's books (http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Prairie/7454/rbach.html). :)

One of my favourite books ever! My brother gave me it when I was quite small, and it is one of those profound tales that means something to you however young or old you are. Basically a story of an individual who goes against the crowd to seek out what he believes is right for him.

A great motto for all on this board in fact!!!

Hi JJ

If you click on the amazon link, there's book reviews there. :)

It's a very deep story about a seagull! ;)

I liked this book too - and Illusions. Both very thought provoking. I gave my copies away to someone who I felt both needed and would appreciate the books (if you see what I mean). :D

Anyone who likes Jonathan Livingston may also like The Prophet, I started a topic in The Book Club on that book here (http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=5400). :)

Richard Bach also wrote Bridge across forever and One, if you liked Johnathon livingstone seagull and illusions then you'll like these 2

this quote from illusions is one of my favorites:
"Your friends will know you better in the first minute you meet than your aquaintances will know you in a thousand years."

how true is that?
