View Full Version : What's Your Favorite TV Ad?
Hi All,
Don't know about the rest of you, but I think that sometimes the ad's are better than some of the TV shows - so I thought I'd share a few of my favs at the mo -
Citroeon C4 - The dancing car - well keeeeeeeeeewl :D
KFC - I see buckets in a different light now
OXO - Brings a smile to my face :)
Anyone else got any favorite ad's?

It's not a current ad, but it will be a long time before I forget the Diet Coke guy being ogled by all those women!!! I've looked (for research purposes of course) at construction sites ever since and have yet to spot a lookalike - they've all got pot bellies and bigger cleavage than I have!!!!
My younger daughter used to get upset over the Carphone Warehouse ads where the little phones with arms and legs got lost or were rejected by their owners for newer models.
The John Smiths ones with Peter Kay :D
I love the one where he takes his poor mum to the old peoples home so he can put a snooker table in her room :hihi:
Bonkers Mad!!!

For us it was the Levi ads - Flat Eric!
Brilliant! We've got all of the Flat Eric ads as mpeg or Quicktime movies on our computers.
We also loved the 'Mun kay' (monkey) ads for Digital TV.
ribbit has one of the original Monkey cuddlies as well as miniature ones. Naturally, Flat Eric lives with us too.

Hi i love the music in the thompson holidays add it reminds me of being a child in the late 70's cause you would hear music of that genre on ceefax during the day when no programs were scheduled when your mum was doing the cleaning and i think that little tune takes me away to other places!!
SAD LADY!!
i bet you are all bl**dy laughing thinking there is a little something wrong there!!!
i like the add for the herbal essences it just funny
Hs anyone seen the TV ARK ONLINE it is marvoulous it has all the old tv ident openings, and lots of adds and tv programs it is very comprehensive if you like this sort of stuff you will love this site its a british one and it has won awards too!1 just type the tv ark into your search and youll be there!!
i like the old golden wonder crisp add from 84 with all the cartoon animation bull in a china shop stuff and the electro beats and the boy bangs the bag at the end and his hair spikes right up.
current fave in this house is the one for disney land - with the dog dreaming in his basket.. awww!! :D
Hi
Cannot think of a current one that blows me away but a few years ago there was a vauxhall ad, in which it was supposed to be a massive conference only all the people were babies and there was this cutest baby on the podium babbling and rambling in babyspeak.............
My eldest who was then 18 months old used to love it and always kissed the tv when it came on.....awww bless!!
jj
I love love LOVE the ad with the lil baby footballer!! Has anyone seen this? I can't even remember what it's advertising, it's showing at the mo and left me in stitches when I saw it. SO cute.
The new KFC one is so stupid that I think it's hilarious. The old Honda "hate something, change something" advert song would get stuck in my head for days! I agree Peter Kaye's John Smiths are great, and was I dreaming or did I see a Peperami ad the other week? Hope they bring em back!
.. Is it just me or are the ads better than the programmes?
