:) Woke up this morning only to hear shouting from NFH which sent my stomach churning. Then I read some posts too, seems my chums too are having a bad time :(

Anyway, by accident came across 'Schindler's List' and have just been playing it quite softly. Magic :) Found it has changed my mood quite a lot and I feel calmer now. So my other chums, do the same.....music is a wonderful therapy. Hope you have a peaceful Sunday.

Love LPxxx

I play the soundtrack to Lord of the Rings, I like the choral buts that featured in the films when the elves' homes were shown. Spine tingling!

They played the music from 'Schindler's List' on TV when Peter Cushing died... beautiful music, but I'm afraid it makes me :crybaby: (although I do have the CD).

I play the soundtrack to "The Governess". Always makes me feel calmer.

Or "Raise the Red Lantern"... that works too.

I find the type of music you've mentioned very calming and I love any sort of classical piano music to relax me as well.

Bizarrely, what I find really uplifting is listening to one of The Cure's most depressing albums called Faith. Just as an example, song titles include The Funeral Party, The Drowning Man and All Cats Are Grey.

What can I say? The Cure just make me happy. :hihi:

I find a bit of REM (Everybody hurts)or Simon and Garfunkel (Bridge over troubled Water)mellows me out

My problem is playing music knocks her daft....she hates anything but 60s stuff (so she told us when she pretended to be nice in the early days). I can only listen on my headphones. Still, its easier to shut them out that way

I always played whatever suited my mood, could have been loud rock music, or early U2 (albums like War, Boy etc), or I bought a CD from a garden centre called "Land of the Pandas" that is so soothing :)
