View Full Version : Bridget Jones...just wonderin'
Just a little Question :) .
I have never seen this film...I saw it for sale for the princely sum of £2.99 (new, mind!! ) and almost bought it, but something inside told me to put it back.
So I did!
Now I am wondering...should I see this film?? Does it live up to the hype?
I just hate buying videos as I hate storing them!! But I'd be happy to pass it to someone else or a charity shop after...just wanted to know if it is worth seeing really...? :) .
Don't mention hiring it either, remember I live in hillbilly land = no rental shops here!!

Well, mazza - I liked it! (It might have been enhanced by :wine: ) I can't say why, and it's a tad girly, I must say :P My recommendation is in no way an expert opinion, and I suggest you get a more diverse (and comprehensible) set of views than just mine
Oh what the heck! It was £2.99 - you'd pay the same to hire it - go for it! :hihi:
Report back? ;)
Sapph :D
:wow: I know!!!
That's WHY I am such a SILLY MOO!!!! :banghead: I mean, what's £2.99!!! :banghead: :hihi:

We really enjoyed this film - we love romantic comedies and this one is very well done - in a quirky way.
Thumbs up from us Mazza, especially for £2.99. :)

I love Bridget!!!!! I loved the books and the film was great too!! It's a real fun chick flick - nothing deep and meaningful. If you like that kind of thing then snap it up - or wait to get a copy of it on DVD
I thought it was a great film :D
Easy watching, funny, good acting, and you didn't have to think about it - all round entertainment, which I liked :)
Well worth £2.99

Good film, Mazza...easy watching, some very funny bits and enjoyable...I would have had no hesitattion in whipping out me purse for that one!
go on, out you go and buy it, and you know where to send it when youve finished with it! (although one would prefer the dvd) :P :P
I am really kicking myself!!! I will go back and see if I can still get it :) .
I hope it hasn't sold out though  ......... :chairhit:

My mum bought me the DVD one Christmas... super film. Colin Firth's in it you know.
I have done the singing in the pyjamas bit myself... great fun.

That alone makes it a film worth investing in !!! He's so yummy!!!!!!!! I have whiled away many an hour imgining myself as Elizabeth Bennett to his Mr Darcy (but that's probably more information than you really needed isn't it?!).
 Awwww ploppies
I hot footed it back to the shop and of course it's gone :crybaby: .
Serves me right for being daft!!!! :chairhit:
I'll certainly watch out for it again and swag it in next time...at the right price of course!!
 Yippeee, hooray, they have it back in stock again and I picked up the last one off the shelf today :D .
I shall try to foist the kids off for a sleepover somewhere soon and that way, I get to watch it in peace ;) .
I may even treat myself to a box of Flake Moments too!

Why stop at one box, mazza :P That won't get you through the first half of the film  Organic rice cakes are not on, Annabel - what can you be thinking of?! :P

I am thinking, firstly of Mazza's waistline and secondly of the possible implications of a nationwide shortage of Flake Moments .... :P :P :P

Flake moments appearing in our local Sainsburys :D

Will I have to merge this thread with the one in 'What's On the Menu??'
Two boxes sapph...DON'T say that to me!!!
I am hoping that the boys can invite themselves over to a pal's house for a weekend...alas not this weekend cos it's Halloween! I can't wait that long!!!
Might have to make it a matinee performance whilst they are at school instead....I'll take a chance that littlest mazza won't understand the rude bits yet!
