I think hermonie is going to be a goner, but it would make more sense to kill off one of rons brothers, as there are loads of them :lol:

When I heard the title I immediately thought the HalfBlood Prince would be Lord Voldemort, but of course it cant be.

Harry's prophecy said that either he or Lord Voldemort must die, both cannot conitnue to live, so maybe it might be Lord V...But probably not if another book is due after this one.

I wonder if JKR might bump off Percy....but I am harbouring a thought it might be Snape....after all he was a death eater that turned away from Lord V...and has been protecting Harry ever since....surely Lord V will want his revenge????

I wonder if Hagrid is the HBP as his dad was a wizard and his mother was a giant. Seamus, the Irish lad in Harry's class, has said that his mother was a witch, but his dad was a muggle.

I don't know who will be the character killed off. I didn't guess it would be Sirius in book 5.

I think Neville will play a larger part. In the first book Mr Ollivander (wand shop owner) told Harry that a wand chooses it's owner and at the end of book 5 when Neville breaks his wand, he told Harry it had been his fathers - ie it chose his father and not him. Neville's being a bit of a dunce could be down to the fact that he's been using a hand me down wand.

I'd like to meet J K Rowling, get her absolutley drunk and force her to tell me what will happen next!!! She'd be a fab dinner party guest!

I must be a right dope, I just thought it would be Harry Potter who is the Half Blood prince.. :blush:

But now I've half thought about it...does Hermione have a brother? Perhaps it could be him...or is that mud-blood!!! :wacko: ??

I'd really like it if his dad and mum were actually still alive somehow and it all is a nice mushy happy ending :rolleyes: :D

I've always had a sneaky feeling that Hermione is in fact the secret child of Prof McGonagall. It often says that Hermione reminds Ron & Harry of the Prof and perhaps because when she was born Lord V was still in power and Prof McGonagall was a member of the Order of the Phoenix, so she may have hidden with muggles for safe keeping.

I also suspect that while a pupil at Hogwarts Snape had a crush on Harry's mum Lily and that could add to his hatred on Harry's Dad and Harry himself.

I was wondering, have you all approved of the actors cast as the characters in the films?
