I have a book to recommend to you all....

Brick Lane by Monica Ali

It is excellent..

Briefly it is about a Bengali woman who has an arranged marriage and comes to the UK to live...It is the story of her marriage, and running parallel to it, her sisters experiences of marriage and life back in Bangladesh.

Its quite an intense story but very readable and really paints a vivid picture of what life is like on a run down Tower Hamlets council estate.

Well worth getting from the library. :thumbs:
