View Full Version : New choccie Flakes
Has anyone tried the new Flakes yet? :)
They are called Flake 'praline' and ooooo they are yummy. I could cheerfully eat a case of them :eat: .
They have a coating of tiny nuts in chocolate over half the bar, so the chocolate is still just like a normal flake, but is really delicious with the nut coating  .
(no good for nut allergy people though :( )

 Now then, what are you saying? a new Flake...surely it cant be better than the dipped one...sounds gorgeous!
I havent seen them round my way..but then again I am avoiding all food shops unless essential in a (rather futile) bid to lose some weight.. ;)
Anyone else in the environs of London spotted them yet???
but i did spot orange flavoured Kit Kat in Somerfield...but i dont like orange chocolate much so that wasnt a problem.
Dipped flakes are nice too, and this is just like that BUT - big BUT here, cos it only covers half (along the way, not cut in half, if you know what I mean  ) and has little bits of nut in, it means that the flake is still really crumbly and oooo!!!!! :hihi:
I wish I'd never let middle master mazza have the last one now.....could've gone down nicely with my (low fat :innocent: )cocoa!

I've had one of these flake pralines, I wasn't impressed. :( I'm saving up for the box of Flake Moments! ;) Or maybe santa will treat me at Christmas.
Flake moments...?? I'll have to watch out for them - never heard of em!!
Aw shame you didn't like the new flake Holly - I think they are well nice - esp if kept in the fridge -nice and crisp then  .
And definitely better than a 'snow Flake' :) .

They've been advertising the Flake Moments boxes in the Corrie ad's. ;) They're just flakes/flake pralines/white choccie flakes chopped into one inch pieces - in a nice box for about £4!
Still no sign of either dipped or praline flakes up here, anyone care to send me some, in case I am missing out....

Excellent idea  I'll get writing ........
I went looking for flake moments too today ( ) just for market research purposes, you understand!!
But there are none to be found  .
Oh well.
Now, wasn't there a commotion about wispas? aren't they discontinued or really hard to get??
Wispas are gone :( They are now Cadburys Bubbly Bar (but not the same)
I emailed Cadbury who said they "may" bring them back sometime, but had no plans to at the minute
I love Wispas

:( Oh woe! :P
I saw Flake Moments in Woolworths just now, and have succumbed to buying, not one, but two boxes!!! :o
They looked absolutely lovely!!!!
Good for Xmas pressies...if they last until then
Got an email from Cadburys, praline and dipped flakes are so popular they are in short supply! :o (Moby, have you been stashing them again?)
And they wouldn't even send me one lousy flake to try
:wow: Cor eeyore!!! Good on yer for e-mailing Cadbury's :hihi:
Don't they send out little vouchers anymore? Awww.
So, Woolies is the place eh? I shall be in the vicinity of one next week and will be on the case. I wonder if I have any kindly relatives that I could tap for a box for Crimbo then, in case Woolies here has run out?!   .
I noticed that all the Flake pralines are gone from our supermarket now, we wuz lucky then!! B) .
I just don't know why Wispas would be discontinued. I remember clearly all the big advertising hype about the revolutionary way the chocolate had been manufactured. It was Mel Smith & Griff Rhys Jones that fronted the ad campaigns.
I really had a mega fad on them once :eat: :) .
:D Finally had a dipped Flake :)
Just happened to see them in my local shop yesterday (no praline ones though)
Gotta say they are pretty darned good  and heavy when you pick them up to ;)

 Annabel!!! Why not eh?? !!! :hihi:
We should all be on commission here ;)

You'll never guess where I saw Flake Moments being sold today...
Staples, the office store
I'll have to pop back and buy a box to see what they're like. Yummmmmmmmmm! :eat:

I've had a Flake Praline, Mazza you are right, they are to die for :D
Found them at the checkouts at Morrisons on Saturday, put it into the fridge for a few (long) hours, and then..... heaven  Yummy :eat:

Bought a box and they were (note.. past tense) very nice. :D
You're all going to shout 'Heathen!' though... I like the normal ones the best.
Nice to try something different though.
Bonkers Mad!!!

Is chocolate the most popular comfort food for ASB sufferers? :D

not me  i'm not all that into chocolate, especially milk chocolate. if i do buy a bar of milk chocolate it has to Cadbury's.
or dark chocolate bounty
or reisens
or raspberry ruffle
or dark or white toblerone
:hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

:hihi: @ BM
:flowers:
 BM!! I am the same, honestly, I hardly ever eat chocolate but I was enticed by those flakes!!!
I am glad you enjoyed it eeyore  and I do agree to put it in the fridge first! :D
Now, mr ribbit, there's nothing wrong with liking the normal flakes...but come on don't you admit that the 'dark chocolate ones with choc chips' on them were REALLY nice???
Rosie Q, I think there could be something in your theory as chocolate does have a feel good component in it, so I would not be surprised if ASB suffers tend to eat more! (Chocolate is a topic that does crop up very frequently here after all  )

:) I have just been in Woolies (just to make sure they still had Flake Moments) and I spotted something a bit weird...
Lime KitKat
What do you all think of that? has anyone tried one? it sounds a bit 8-X to me!

OK, they were very nice  but still not a patch on the normal flakes. Eating flakes is an art form I think. I break it up into chunks while the wrapping is sealed, open it up, eat the chunks, then slide the crumbly bits into me mush. Yummmm.
Bt the way, I think it's Asda or Tesco that are doing a 'three boxes for the price of two' offer on Flake Moments right now. Just thought I'd mention it in passing. :D

it's the only way to eat a flake ;)
Lime KitKat, i think i've seen them, i also think they are white chocolate, which, i think is what probably put me off. i only think that though, so could be completely wrong
now Lime and dark chocolate  mmm mmm

yep, i checked, they are white chocolate. well that's just discrimination as far as i'm concerned, if there is a white one then there should be a dark one
Dom't think I'd fancy a lime kit-kat, not with white chocolate anyway :(
Oooh must find 3 for 2 flake moments, I've a Tesco down the road (Asda is a hike about 20 miles though), I'll pop to Tescos tomorrow, anyone finds out first, let us know

:( Just been to Tesco and phoned Asda. :crybaby: It was a special offer that has expired down our way so I had to go for the 3 for 3 offer where you buy lots and pay for all of them at full price.  :hihi:
Maybe you'll all have better luck near you.
Ah well, never mind. We'll just have to drown our sorrows in Choccy heaven.
