Never heard of this very disturbing film before, and caught it by accident on BBC2 last night. Describes the path of a young man in the grip of a Nazi ideal and the consequences for a community, through the eyes of the young man's younger brother who begins to follow his example. Powerful, moving and gripping stuff, although not one for kids due to the violence. Felt like I'd been through a wringer after watching it, but I couldn't not watch it, even though it made me want to look away more than once.
Sapph :)
A friend lent it to me on video a few years ago, i remember very powerful scenes, its not a film i've fealt like watching again.
It was one of those "you keep watching" films, even though also wanted to turn it off in parts.
I can't remember much about the details of the film, but it makes you think. I remember it showed about people being led , i spose alot of ppl are quite angry.. testorones and what not... looking for somewhere to release into, or some ppl just have such limited/effected thought processes or views.
Before watching it i thought it would be cliche with those sorts of films, but it still seemed different, and maybe expecting some things added to the effect.
I think i've just about said the same as sapph :)

I think you did, Vern ;)
I'll probably never watch it again, but I think it's good I've seen it. Other people I've spoken to since Sunday have kind of mirrored the same comments.
