 Oh decisions
Indian.....have a really nice local one.....Chicken Dhansak for me and Chicken Tikka for my son with all the trimmings and a nice bottle of wine
I had to vote "other" because you forgot to add good old "Fish & Chips" . . . . with lots of batter, salt & vinegar.

Oooh... tricky one this... :)
Love Chinese  , luurrrve Indian  , but if I had only one type of food to eat for the rest of my life... I think it has to be Italian! :pizza:
Oh yeah!! Yummmm.
our chinese has started doing tofu, not a huge fan of it but...mmmmm
I get the veggie deep fried combo for my meal, its a starter but does me nicely for a main course, tofu with chilli dressing, seaweed, vercimilli stuff and veggie spring rolls, together with half a portion of fried rice and a pot of sweet and sour, yummy!
My favourite food is Italian, but I tend to cook my own. So if it's a take-away that's on the cards it has to be Chinese, because I could eat Chinese curry until it comes out of my ears. Or Hot & Sour veggies... another one for my ears. Mind you, I do like a nice balti with naan bread... and I'm not averse to a Mexican. In fact, I could eat Mexican until it comes out of my ears too.
All this talk of my ears, you'll be thinking that unlike normal people, who keep their food in their tummy, I keep mine in my head.
ribbit (who is now very very hungry)
That was a hard one! We have an excellent pizza shop in our local town, fab stuff - they do Tex Mex, pizzas, pasta, salads, chinese food, thai - the lot, and everything is so good :chef:
I love Chinese and Cantonese, but our local Chinese has just changed hands, and is vile now :sicky: We go to the Chinese in my old village (with the NFH) - the only reason I ever drive through there, because the food is great :) The "automatic" duck as I call it, its fantastic, plus they also do a great range of veggie meals..... :D
I do like Pizza Hut, but ours doesn't deliver - yet! I had never been to KFC until about a month ago, and I thought it was ok, fries a bit soggy but I had a tower burger which was really interesting... cheese, chicken, mayo, salad, ketchup and a hash brown in a burger, and it works! ;)
As for Indians, well we had a good one locally, then I got food poisoning  but there is another opened up which I keep intending to try, I love chicken tikka massala

Yikes - hope you're fully recovered now! What happened with that, did the EHO get involved and did you manage to address it with the owners?

Yes thanks Matthew I am fully recovered thanks, it was back in June, it was not very nice, I was so sick for days :ill: I couldn't even drink water
I'd rung the owners but it was difficult in that they couldn't understand me, and I couldn't understand them ;)
With it being quite a nasty bout of food poisoning though my doctor rang Environmental Health and also wrote to them, I don't what the outcome was unfortunately, the shop is still open, but I will not be going back there!

I have an American colleague who is very suspicious of foreign (ie. not USA) food. I met him several years ago at a conference in Brazil (showing off, I know). He decided that the only safe thing to do was to eat in McDonald's. He then had food poisening throughout a 12 hour flight back to the USA spending the whole time in the loo.
I ticked Indian
Bonkers Mad!!!

Many, many moons ago, I knew an American lad who was staying in the Far East for a few months at a boarding school for martial arts. He was a really lovely chappie who was keen to lap up the culture, etc. but couldn't even stand the smell of the local food, let alone eat it! He used to get on a train everyday and travel half an hour to get to the nearest MacDonalds  ! Blimey! I wouldn't even touch a MacDonald 'meal' with a ten foot barge pole let alone make an hour round trip for one every day. Bearing in mind we had to do hard physical training 4-5 hours a day (12-13 hours a day for 2 weeks in the summer), 6 days a week - he managed all this on burgers!
Sorry, I'm not sure if this is kind of off-topic. If it is, sincerest apologies.

Awwww, that's lovely. :)
I wish our nearest KFC was closer, nearest one is 18 miles away! Rumour has it they may be opening one on a new development about a mile away from me! :D
They are also definitely opening a McDonalds ;) (we have 2 within 3 miles anyway), put you down for 2 big macs Mr Ribbit? :P
HeHe I'm the same HN, can't decide
I used to love chinese and indian but have kind of gone off them now :( . Thai is nice, but nothing like that round here...
We don't have KFC or Pizza Hut within our region at all although I do like Pizza Hut
I think I'm with -P- on balance...you just can't beat a good, fresh bit of fish and chips  :eat:
So I have voted for 'other'. B)
