We are considering implementing NFHiB e-mail addresses for initially all forum members that want them, first. :) Then they will be available to all visitors to the site and any future forum board members.

This is to help NFHiB Funds and hopefully will be available in the near future. :)

Basically, this is what we hope to give each e-mail account for just £10 per year (less than £1 per month):

- 50mb Worth of storage

- Access to e-mail over your browser (web based) or

- Access over your e-mail client (e.g. Outlook Express)

- your_name@nfh.org.uk (you can stay as anonymous as you wish with your_chosen_name@nfh.org.uk!)

- E-Mail redirection: With this, you can set up your e-mail to be re-directed to any other address you already have, all done automatically.

- Spam and Virus protection.

(With the popular Hotmail e-mail accounts you only get 2mb of space for example).

You get to support NFHiB and get a reliable e-mail service at the same time, which you can use for personal or work based e-mail or even just for forum e-mails. By doing so, you also help NFHiB keep all its services for free, for all members. :nfh1:

Please take a moment to vote if you'd seriously consider taking up the offer or not, thanks. :D

PS: Access to the forum and its membership will always stay free within our philosophy at NFHiB of 'Support for all, which is free for all'. Other services that aren't free aren't mandatory and are entirely voluntary. You also get something in return for your money which we think you'll enjoy too. :)

Hi Matthew, :)

The ribbity folk totally support this idea as we believe that apart from doing our small bit in supporting the NFHiB, other people would see our email addresses and may visit the site out of curiosity as well.

We hope you'll be implementing the system soon (hint, hint) as we are quite excited about getting our very own NFHiB email addresses. What about pin-badges, caps, pens, mugs, etc? Or are we going a biit mad here?

Thanks for the feedback all. :)

No, web space doesn't come cheap and our future plans will mean even higher costs! :D

We're currently pulling in an average of 2000 unique visitors/people per day to the site and this steadily increases each month.

Hi Matthew,

You can sign me up Matthew, but I'd need a mail address to send the money to. I really dislike going through hotmail for my email.

It's incredible how the membership has increased in just the time I've been a member...also how active the forum is daily. It's such a great place to express about the problems we encounter with neighbors and add our own experiences, as it can be otherwise such an isolating feeling when dealing with NFH issues.

I hope for the day when noisy neighbors are no longer something we have to stress about. For now I will at least try to have dreams of uninterrupted sleep.

Hi Matthew,

Just a quickie to let you know how pleased ribbit and myself are with the e-mail service. :wow:

We're so pleased that we're in the process of closing down our other email accounts and making sure the new NFHiB address is being used. We're so proud of the email address as well. :D

Thanks for this. :notworthy:
