not that I am a huge fan of wasps but I have only seen one all summer

loads of bees and hover flies but just the one lonely wasp

has anyone else noticed this? or are they just steering clear of Yorkshire?

They are all down south - having had a family BBQ at which we recieved a swarm of wasps!

They particularly liked the fruit punch.

the wasps were in tolworth on saturday. one particularly liked me and decided out of a stadium full of people that he wanted to follow me the B*gger. hate any stinging insect so there was me doing a silly windmill dance and screaming ike a small child.

ladybirds, ive seen one. he was on my arm one day when i got home from work.

They are undoubtedly in my garden. Yesterday evening one landed upside down in my sherry - had to remove it with a teaspoon but it made no noticable difference to the flavour. Later in the evening one landed upside down in my red wine, couldn't tell if it was the same one but it too was removed with said teaspoon and made no noticable difference to the flavour. No more attempted such vineous suicide - unless I was too inebriated to notice.
