Agreed there, I've always been a 'Big' Tom Hanks Fan and continue to admire his versatility and great acting! :)

From The Green Mile, to Castaway, to Philadelphia, Big, Sleepless in Seattle, Saving Private Ryan (gory!), You've Got Mail and the wonderful Forrest Gump, etc, etc!

I haven't seen Road To Perdition yet, do you reccomend it? :)

We were watching Road to perdition last night....that is what inspired me to add this thread..................

It is excellent..............Very dark... and even though T H plays a gangster he still is able to show a soft side...........highly recommended

Oh, I saw Castaway a few months back on telly (missed the very beginning of it though) and I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed it!

I enjoyed it that much that I even went and bought a video of it last week so that I could see the beginning of it! (it was in the sale - sweet  ).

I NEVER buy films on DVD or Video (apart from animations) so this is quite amazing for me! .

I remember seeing Philadelphia when it came out - he did very well in it and really looked rough by the end of it.

I still haven't seen Big - there are a few fans of that film about this forum! :D

ohh yeah BIG rools!! :)

chopsticks a go go! .. i was gonna type the beats to chopsticks but it was too difficult.

i think tom hanks is good too... he was the best part of "saving private ryan" i thought,
... and the pain with which he shouted "WIIILSON..." in castaway.

thought most of road to perdition and his part was good too,... can't forget "turner & hooch" though ... a true classic :)

Tom Hanks is up there with the very best.

I got The Green Mile DVD given as a present not too long ago and thought it was magnificent, had a tear in my eye more than once during the film as well.
