IMHO I think the scores should be reset once every 1 month after a high score has been achieved and unchallenged for that amount of time. Alternatively, if it was reset on a set date across the board for all games then I think it should be once every 3 months as it would be a shame for someone who got a high score a day before a monthly deadline to lose it straight away.

Naturally, Moby should always be the exception whenever she gets a high score. (Moby, did you send the cheque yet?) :flirt:

sometimes it doesnt seem worth playing some of the games as theres no way I will get anywhere near the champ scores!!

yes aswell to eeyore, there are more people who want to reset than who want to keep it and I bet the people who wanted to keep it now wish they could vote again as theres a huge possibility that one of the Ribbits is leading in those games!!!!! :lol: :lol:

we will give it a few more days for people to vote, and if it stays at 3 months I will add the reset days to the calender so everyone knows!

An archive of Highscores sounds like a great idea. :thumbs:

Speaking for myself, I must confess that I'm not too bothered about how often the scores are reset. I'm having so much fun with the games, I am SO grateful for having these games on the site. Awesome. :notworthy:

I was just a penniless (but happy :) ) kid when the original machines came out for these games so I'm making up for lost time!

I like the idea of there being a record of previous high scores... a hall of fame. :D If you get the high score and never manage to get it again you'll always have your moment of glory on record. That's a nice idea.

I think the scores should be reset. Even if you do have the high score you get to a stage where you can't beat yourself... and you give up playing... except for Zoo Keeper, which is just so brilliant that I'll never give it up!

Some of the games have a maximum possible score, and once you've got it there's no point playing again.

It will be mean for anyone who gets a really good high score five minutes before the scores are reset though... :(

ok, so more people have voted to reset the scores than to keep them, it looks like we have four votes for every month and four votes for every 3 months
2 people have voted for every two months so .......

if we meet in the middle from 1 month and 3 months that is 2 months!

does that sound ok to every one??
a good compromise?


we dont currently have the time to create a hall of fame

but if some one wants to start a new topic on hall of fame where high scores go you can do that, we can check the high scores the night before the scores are rest and add them in,

once you have agreed for times for reseting I will add it to the calender so we all know and wont be knocking ourselves out to beat the high scores an hour before they are rest!! :lol:
