Hi :D

I've just taken my little boy to see it this morning (I don't get to see anything other than U-rated films at the cinema these days  ) :D

It's the funniest new release I've seen in years. It's more action packed than the first film with a thicker plot, lots of magic spells, great songs and a 50 ft gingerbread man (who's a little bit dim).

The Flashdance pi**take at the end had me crying with laughter in middle of the cinema.

So if you fancy some real feel-good light-hearted family entertainment - it's recommended by me :)

BTW My son liked it too (but he just goes for the popcorn anyway!)

Hi BC :D

It's definitely one on my 'must-see' list ;) I've just bought the Shrek 3-D DVD with Shrek1 - magic stuff!

I saw Shrek 2 last week and nearly fell off the chair laughing a number of times. I was schreeching out laughing for most of the film, much to the embarassment of the 2 kids we took along. So much so, they moved seats away from me !!!

The cat, Puss In boots is hilarious and its gooey eye look is priceless.

And donkey, Eddie Murphy steals the show again !!

Its a definite must-see.

Oh I'm pleased it's good, I'm going on Saturday, enjoyed the first one, but the second (looking at the trailer) looks better :)

Hello folk ... I got a problem;

U-rated film? My son does not want to go and my daughter says I could go on my own ... the problem is:- How do I get in to see the film it if I haven't got any children with me?

My Son is 32 & my Daughter 34

You could threaten to with hold pocket money from your kids for a week or 2 unless they go with you!

Alternatively you could borrow some kids from a friend or your children if they have any? :) It would give them a break from the little 'uns for an evening. Even if they've seen the film already, I'm sure they'd love the chance tosee it again.

Good luck.

Aw Mucks...what a bunch of killjoys you have there! :hihi:

I am so desperate to see it, but the way things are for me, I shall be the only person in the whole country that has to wait for it to come out on video :crybaby: :crybaby:

We've been thinking of taking our daughter for her first trip to the cinema to see Shrek 2 (or the Green Ogre as she calls it).

She was 3 in June, is that too young do you think?

She has watched Shrek without getting scared or upset and we have described the cinema as 'a television as big as the wall, but its a bit loud' - she seems unfazed by that and has said she wants to go. (she loves the 'Swamp Karaoke' and is always asking to see the 'dancing dragon' - she was singing 'dance to the music' , and 'who let the dogs out' at dinner on Sunday, bless her)

Having said that, when we went to Butlins, she was scared to death by the redcoats who dressed up in costumes and the puppet show - I'm hoping she doesn't get that way in the cinema.

Any thoughts?
