love it though i'll only watch the england games. roll on thisevening.
got me flag up in me window and the beers is in the fridge.
i think it will be and england france final and france will win.
That makes two of us moby... I didn't even know we were playing tonight.
I cannot stand football. I hate the cheering, the players, the amount they have on TV about it... I even hate the sound of a boot kicking the ball. I can't see the point in it.
Having said that, when there's a game on the streets are deserted... it's a nice time to go for a drive about... and the supermarket and video rental store are empty. No queues and every film you want to rent is in stock... woohooooo! :D
ribbit (watching "Big Fish" and "Mystic River" tonight... Ben & Jerry's choc fudge brownie ice cream in the fridge) :D

I like Leeds United to win, and England as well. But I,m not a football regular, and my fella dosn't like it either so that's great for my tv viewing.
But I find us wanting England to lose to spite our NFH. He is prancing around looking so smug at the moment with his beer and flags every where. I know it's silly but they have that effect on us.
My sister bought my 11yr old Niece a flag to stick on the car, she wanted one. They dont even like football.
GG.
LOVE FOOTBALL hate England ..it has Beckham in it ..aaaaarrrrgggghhhhhh...not really
I hate hearing about 66 and how we've won before the first ball is kicked...love the buzz though and especially when it was at wembley..just down the road..my heart is torn ...lifelong Arsenal supporter most of the french team play for us ..but ofcourse I want england to do well..
so come on..Bend it like beckham, strike it like owen ,it wont be long till we'll be home..
Can't stand football, have no interest. Means weeks of interrupted programmes on TV, but its a great time to be out on the roads when England play, I live near a motorway and it was sooooo quiet last night :P
Nightmare getting a takeaway though......
Hope England do well, its nice for the country, but I won't be watching any games. :)
Hubby has no interest either, so we are a footie free zone! :)

Was wedged on a train between an avid England fan and a supporter of France from a French-speaking country when the match was ending  The mood and conversation between them was more electric and entertaining than any footie game I've ever seen!

:hihi:
I wish the England fans would behave themselves, I am really annoyed at reading accounts of bad drunken behaviour, both here and abroad
they are not fans..they are trouble tourists...sadly ..I wish they'd go away and leave the football to real fans....

There's just no excuse for loutish and aggressive behaviour - it's a game not a war!
Sapph :)
please remember that as in any group of people there will be some good and some not so good.
the majority of fans away are behaving, there are some who go to cause trouble, and then there are some who are in the wrong place at the wrong time, such as some of them who were caught up in the troubles, they were minding there own business when another group started kicking off near by, some cases it is a case of you are wearing an England top so you must be a trouble maker
a lot of this stereo typing has come from years ago when there was a lot of trouble and yes it was caused by alleged England fans, both the country and the home team supportors
we have also had trouble at home too, maybe these are the people who were banned from going this year???
the authorities have done a lot in the last few years, known trouble makers have their passports seized before big matches such as Euro games, people have been banned from football grounds etc.
I do not want to be tarred by the same brush, yes I am a supporter, yes I have a flag, yes I shout at the telly or at a match if I am ever lucky enough to get to one
No I do not drink copious amounts of alcohol, no I do not fight.
I do include my self in term of "England fan"
Sorry cant help it love football...proud as hell tonight super rooney..I can sing, shout, wave the flag...dont drink ...but COME ON ENGLAND...just keep bl**dy Beckham away from me Im sure he will be trying to steal all the glory...and yes my beloved ZIDANE just scored...sorry i must have had to much diet coke ....
Aww Beth, we know you are one of the goods uns, its a shame that a few bad uns spoil it for others and get so much bad press! :(
Anyway, I could not see you out in the streets with your can of lager, yelling "Eng-er-lan" and beating up the guys next to you! :P
