View Full Version : teenage angst
when you were a teenager or even now ..who do you listen to..who seems to reflect your feelings...
I have to say even now..simon and garfunkels .."hello Darkness my old friend"can get the tears going..
I have a little sing of "we've gotta get outta this place if its the last thing we ever do..."as well since moving here..
And I forgot ofcourse the Beatles "she's leaving home"got an airing after every row with the parents..!!

Bit corny - but I remember balling my eyes out to Whitney Houston's "All At Once" after I'd been dumped by my first ever serious boyfriend in 1989
You can laugh - but it was painful!

Ahhh .. the dark depressing teenage years.
For me, it was Marillion
Now I just can't get enough of the LOTR soundtracks (faves are 'The Riders of Rohan', 'Evenstar' and 'Into the West')

Simon and Garfunkel's Kathy's Song - possibly the best love song of all time (in my humble opinion)
And so you see I've come to doubt
All that i once held as true
I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you

Teenage Angst???
Look no further than The Smiths....
If I was in an angry mood, then the Clash, The Stranglers and The Jam were my choices,
If I was feeling political, UB40 - especially the early albums....
