Does anyone watch the ITV2 programme (on weekdays) called: JUDGE JUDY?

Judy Scheindlen (if that is the correct spelling) is a highly outspoken Jewish judge from New York now working in the courts in California. She has 30 years experince in the family courts but now works as a judge in the equivalent of the English small claims court, dealing with civil disputes. These are often neighbour disputes.

Some of the people before her are prime examples of how not to behave. Quite often it is both parties at fault, which is why the dispute continues to escalate. It is clear that some people get addicted to disputes, as if they were a drug.

Judge Judy will stand absolutely no nonsense and will give anyone short shrift if they have not behaved in an unimpeachable manner, particularly when they fail to recognise their behaviour is not tolerable. This often means that both parties get the benefit of her not inconsiderable tongue.

The programme is well worth watching just to count how many times Judge Judy claims that she is "really smart" or the people before her are "stupid"! What amazes me is the ridiculous cases some people bring before the courts. In these cases Judge Judy usually says 'GET A LIFE' before immediately storming out of the courtroom!

I remember seeing it years ago on ITV1, and have seen quite a few since on ITV2 :)

I think it is hilarious, I love it when she says "balloney" to everyone, no nonsense there

Maybe the "have you had an accidenet in the past 3 years that wsn't your failt" lot could team up with her B) That'd make a programme, Judge Judy decides....

Or she could present the Weakest Link?? :hihi:

I've seen thsi show and though all the cases are on for their entertainment value its worthwhile watching as they do have the occasional NFH problem.

The good thing is that she does talk common sense which NFHs find it hard to deal with and she has little time for those who have clearly dragged a dispute out for no other reason than to cause aggro.

Funniest one I ever saw though was when they had a case involving a porno producer and one of his stars who he was suing because he couldn't provide the "pop shot". B)

Yuk, RB!! 8-X

I have never really seen one of these all the way through - my OH just won't sit trough anything like that

I have a feeling though, that I'd probably like it and go nutty watching it solid for about a month and then come to my senses :hihi:

(this happened to me with Jerry Springer - OH was away for a few days ages ago, so I was left to my own devices with the telly and my whole day revolved around Jerry!!! )
