Oh my Goodness, Morrissey was on the Jonathan Ross show this eve, sang a couple of ditties and actually gave an interview :wow:

***Swoon***

New album out on Monday, I've read a couple of very favourable reviews and Jonathan Ross was raving about it too :)

He sounded the same, but I thought he looked a lot different now Awwwwww!

I notice that no mention was made of the rift between him and the rest of the Smiths though

(prob'ly nobody's interested in 'boring ole' Morrissey, but I just had to blurt this out somewhere :jump: )

:D :D :D

We've had it on too, we are a house full of Morrissey and The Smiths music! ;)

Advance warning for you then.... Morrissey is also on Jools Holland next Friday evening - I think it's on Beeb 2. :)

He's also playing live in Manchester very soon! ;):D

I'm still getting those butterflies in my tum this morning thinking about this!!

I only caught the interview by pure chance, had no idea he was back in the UK at all :) . (but had heard about the new album) .

Thanks for the tip off Holly, will go and set a reminder on my digibox for the Jools Holland prog now

Beth, it's so true...close your eyes and he's still got the same voice on 'im. :D

Never midn the other Smiths, the broadcast of Ross was severely edited especially as he apparently went into a tirade against Bowie, who he has had a rift with for some years.

I have to say Ross wasted an opportunity to interview the man by prattling on for his own amusement which only seemed to make Mozza more uneasy.

The single's good but to my ears the album drags a bit.

awww i missed it! surprised he wanted to go on Ross's show, jonathan does like the sound of his own voice a bit too much for my liking and he asks very trivial questions, if he bothers at all!

jools holland will do a better job i reckon, so one to watch!

cant believe that morrisseys in hid mid 40s.... seems like only yesterday the smiths were the best band around!

I'm Jules Holland will concentrate on the music and leave the inane prattle to Jonathon - still I think that Moz could attempt to lighten up a bit though.

Something else to look forward to is Morrissey's Meltdown

The single is the best thing he's done for years. As Mrs Eckie said, it's good to see a grown man singing about something real on tv for a change.
I used to like the Smiths too, sold 'This Charming Man' 7" single for a pretty penny some years back.
If you like Morrissy's new single and the Smiths, you'll probably like another Manchester band of the time called The Chameleons.
