View Full Version : "Whale rider"
About a year ago a friend recommended "whale rider" as a good film to me, so i got it...and kinda forgot to watch  ...
I watched it some days ago and they were right its a very good film!
Nice, unusual story, kinda about family and stuff, and some other things, gives a glimpse at some things in another culture, is a good film i pass on the recommendation!!!
go watch now, i don't think you'll regret it ! :P [or watch in a years time :D ]

Whalerider .. this movie was filmed at a little village about 4 hours drive from here. The scenery on the drive there is amazing . the road follows the coast most of the way.. cattle and horses wandering across the road use to be a real hazard mostly after blind corners in my experience. This region is fairly rugged and thinly populated.
Large signs have recently appeared on the side of the road with a contact number for the Police who will come and shoot any animals found wandering on the road ...quite a few accidents and fatalities prompting this move.

Hi Vernon,
It's now raining heavily and starting to get cold here... winters coming..not quite paradise on earth. I need to get a digital camera for work so if I can get some pics of the best bits of scenery will post them sometime.
