4x4 ban

The Liberal Democrats, in particular Norman Baker wants to ban or seriously
curtail the use of four wheel drive vehicles in the United Kingdom................

Thats ALL 4x4 vehicles, your Discoveries. Freelanders. Rav 4's. Hondas. Volvo's. Shoguns.
Landcruisers. Suzuki Vitara's & Jimmy's. Pajero's. Hi-Lux, Warriors. Nissan Patrols.
Surf's. Land Rovers.

The guy has a chip the size of New Mexico on his shoulder regarding 4x4's. I wouldn't
mind if he knew what he was talking about. My 4x4 is 18cm shorter than his Rover.

I do a fair bit of Cycling and believe me, I feel more intimidated by your average 40 ton
Juggernaught than any 4x4 !!

I can tell you where I won't be putting my cross at the next election :angry:

I used to have a Sierra, it was a gas guzzler, used leaded petrol, and was high insurance.

Got a 4X4 Cherokee - I feel much safer, it costs less to run, lower insurance, its shorter in length than the Sierra, I can get both dogs in comfortably, plus in my job I go out in all weathers over hill and down dale! I feel safe and secure and I love it! :)

this is a free country and we shall buy whatever cars we jolly well like!
not a very liberal attitude is it telling us what we should and shouldnt buy...perhaps he should consider joining the fascists or communists or something!

All I can say is that if I could afford it I'd buy a 4x4 (one of the bigger types) for the space they give inside.

Unfortunately my wife has her heart set on a Volvo estate :(
