:o oh my goodness i would be hard pressed to list my top ten films!
i think i would have to sift them into topics! it would be the only way!
how can you compare "gone with the wind" with "matrix" or even "alien"???
too hard!
HMV have a good sale o at the moment re DVD 5 for £30! and there are some good ones in there!
happy hunting!
could do a top genre....maybe
1. Horror (i need the adrenaline rush i guess! oh and being grossed out!)
2. Sci-fi (would waterworld fit in here?).
3. Thriller (more pant wetting and tissue twisting!)
4. Crime (I love trying to guess "who dunnit")
5. Comedy (laugh my pants off at american wedding! mostly 1 & 3)
6. Period (sense & sensibility)
7. Action (oh my gosh at Kill Bill!)
8. True stories (Schindlers List - ok ok i know thats a stretch of the truth)
9. Generic girly films (steel magnolias always makes me laugh & cry)
10. ran out of genre! dont go for romance much (is that girly though?)

:(
I dont like any of the supposed chick flicks, especially not Dirty Dancing!!!that film is so cringemaking to me, yuk yuk yuk! 8-X
and ditto Titanic (for crying out loud!) , the piano   and from here to eternity(good grief :wow: ) 8-X 8-X
and i notice all the girly films are drippy weepy films and all the blokes ones are very violent...yah boo sucks!
Chick flicks - bleurgh!!! :toilet:
Give me Goodfellas, Reservoir Dogs and the like....... Love em!! :D
heh i quite liked "the piano" .. i even have some artwork related to it on an actual website a coupe of years ago ....
hehe i just found its still "online" ! :P.
oh yes, i think i'll do a thingey just like fluffyredfox has :) ,
genre orientatedated, lots o' films out there!
As its a sunday the films i'd pick right now:
horror - "rocky", that film is scarily bad to me.
Sci-fi - erm, donnie darko .. i liked "solaris" too, saw it recently. Atmosphere and thinkey-a-bit ones.
Thriller - "the conversation" , very good!
Crime - i've no idea .. hmm would "the third man" or "glengarry glen ross" count.
Comedy - monty python and the quest for brians life ;) .. and ferris buellers day off!
Period - "the wings of the dove" , i can't remember much of alot of films i've seen, i remember that a bit, drama-ful
Action - LOTR ones, but they could fit in a few places
True stories - "shine" .. chances are the truth was stretched a bit too :P
Generic girly films - "thelma and louise" - saw it for first time not long ago..its always called a girly film but not all light and fluffy!, was suprised, tough and harsh
bits!
and some random ones, i'm prolly repeating myself though :) - jean de florette & manon des sources(frenchy), requiem for a dream(compassion), mulholland drive(who knows), in the bedroom (quiet)... and austin powers 3 (yeah baby!)
...oh that pic.. i did it couple of years ago when i was seven :P
"anna paquins secret wave" .. it seemed funny at the time.
