“If people are driving past and see a young person being attacked you would think that someone would stop to help.”
Did anyone watch 'Passer By' on BBC on Sunday/Monday night?
I thought it was a very powerful drama, and I have to say I don't know what I would do in such a situation - the one in the drama and this article... :(

That story made me feel physically sick :(
I think I'm too angry to make any sense  I recall, about 12 years ago, standing at a bus stop with my son. There were lots of people around and across the road a big lad, about 15, was mercilessly beating a boy who looked about 12. The younger boy was begging for mercy and not one person did anything. I couldn't stand it; I ran across the road shouting out rather naughty words and the big lad walked off muttering with my words of anger ringing in his ears.
I couldn't believe that people would prefer to stand and watch than to do anything. I suppose I was waiting for someone else to do something but when it became apparent they wouldn't I just had to do something myself. I suppose if I'd been in a car driving past I'd not have stopped. It's easy to make judgements, maybe the drivers didn't take much notice of a gang of kids so didn't realise what was happening.
Oh, god, I'm rambling now. I'll shut up :)

I don't drive. But I'd guess that what with looking out for what other drivers are going to do, and keeping an eye on the speedo, what real chance does a motorisit have of lookig at bunch pf kids they might see for only a few seconds? :(
