Cant wait for it to come back on telly, the best decision the BBC has made in ages, well, apart from getting Bruce Forsyth to host 'Celebrity Come Dancing' :P
I thought Bill Nighy was in the frame for Dr Who at one stage...glad he didnt get it though....

I've heard it said that the only real Dr Who is the one that you grew up with.
Tom Baker in my case, who I still think on as the best :D ;)

Yeah, Tom is my fave too.
His voice sounds like honey dipped in treacle, then wrapped in a soft flour tortilla ...

wow, that is great news! I wonder how long it will take though for the new series to get to the States? I haven't seen a Dr. Who episode in years.
thanks for the info FF.
Chris
Who's Christopher Ecclestone is he not the bloke that runs Formula One motor racing?
I looked at the Dr Who Appreciation Soc link there and there's a photo - is that him or someone else?
I thought Richard E Grant was going to do it...thought he was quite suitably mad looking for the job and would have been good
Shows how much I know about these things!

No, that's Bernie ;)
I'm still none the wiser with Christopher Ecclestone...
But anyway
I saw something on Teletext today that made me smile - someone has written in to say that they would really love to see Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen (mr OTT Changing Rooms designer) as the new Doctor !
Now this sounds quite barmy, but when you think of it, he has the right fashion sense, is quite eccentric and could give the TARDIS a new makeover every now and then - what could be better ?
