Hiya
Ok a little word of warning here.
If your house/flat/bungalow has been structually altered e.g. removal of chimney breast, extensions add etc etc in the 60s and 70s before all these building regulations came into being, if you sell your property you will have to take out indemnity insurance, I think the cost is about £100.
Ok had a chat with one of the guys here and it comes under something called the "Latent Damage Act" it if there are any problems structually with the property due to these building works the buyers can claim on the sellers for 3 to 6 years
Nightmare!
