it is the festival of eid at the moment (please excuse me if I have spelt this wrong!)
a muslim festival, so that could be the reason for the fireworks, we have certainly had increased activity here in that deptment!!
I think the festival comes to an end tomorrow(sat) so maybe it will quieten down again.

Not many (if any) muslims in this part of the world, but I heard some the night before last. I hope this bill gets through but I think it will be difficult to find and catch the offenders who let off fireworks during 'antisocial hours'
But anything is better than what we have now. Fingers crossed.
