Have been on chat tonight so am putting this on here as suggested....
Did anyone watch last Thursday the prog titled "Making Babies - the Gay way"? It is on again this week.
I had seen the trailer to this program and must admit I had a bit of a wry smile to myself....maybe that was me just being very narrow minded.
I had read the stories in the papers about the two men Barry and Tony who had selected and egg donor and (for the want of a better word) an incubator, for their babies. But as I watched this program, my opinion of these two men drastically changed.
Yes, i know what the church or bible says but these two had me laughing and the prog also showed that they were a couple in very sense of the word. The children had a nanny so they had the influence of a "mother" figure but most important of all, they were growing up in such a loving and wanted environment.
There was another case of two women in a relationship who wanted a baby (the elder of the two already being a mother of six children at the age of 38 and her partner being 22 years of age and not having had any other children) and had gone through the Internet to find a spem donor. This I didn't and couldn't accept, not because they were women but because they had taken just a "donor".
I don't know really and do not want to put many more of my opinions on here but am looking forward to next Thursday and to what anyone else may have thought to this program if they had seen it.
