Any other parents out there being driven demented by the programmes their kids watch?
I am heartily sick of 'Recess' on the Disney Channel, my daughter is now banned (yes I am a heartless cruel wicked evil mother) from watching it, on account of the fact that she must have seen every episode at least six times over.
Why do kids get so obsessed with certain programmes, there was one time I thought she would never ever stop watching the Tweenies, and though i hate to say it, she was quite into Storymakers as well (sorry Blue Cow).
what are your kids mad on?
daughter was 4 years old and could use the video. Over and over again we were subjected to HE MAN, SHE RAH, rainbow and cockleshell bay. Now at 21 its Eminem over and over again.

No offence taken Annabel
As if you hadn't guessed, my son is a CBeebies fan. He also loves the website (and I'm so proud as this week he's learned to point and click on this site and he's only 2 1/4 - it's also helped me to teach him to recognise all the numbers from 1-10 by sight (sorry just really proud of him)).
If it's on CBeebies - he loves it (he even gets excited when the CBeebies trailer is shown on BBC1  )
Other than that , he really likes the Chuckle Brothers (I know!! :banghead: )

And the absolute best Ballamory   ##whats the story in....#
Sad thing is, I don't have any children
LoL @Maria :hihi: !!
Balamory is sssoooo peculiar!!!! My older two HATE it but I find it strangely fascinating  I think it's the guy with the pink jumper and kilt that does it  , ooh now that odd female that jumps about all the time with a whistle and lurid yellow tracksuit 8-X, come to think of it, the odd woman with the flicked out hair too ...no, there's nothing between them - all so strange !
I really can't stand Cartoon Network (Sorry Matthew & Beth  ), but really, all those animations look the same - the Edd ed & eddy type animation, Powerpuff girls - that kind of thing - yuk!
And Beyblade - nothing but yelling and roaring for half an hour - terrible crud Japanese animation - looks just like Pokemon did :( .
I like C Beebies, my little one is getting really into Teletubbies now - aaahhh, just like his two brothers were (pah, they won't have a bit of it now though :( )
Quite like some of the Nickelodeon stuff - but Blues Clues drives me batty
:D
Must admit I can't cope with the Fimbles
Off to bo peeps now singing about Ballamory
la la la we've bought a splitter, given the kids their own playroom downstairs, is kinda open plan but this room is a bit more closed in set up their tv to watch tv from our sky box - they watch what they like! and i can play a dvd/sit here on the computer - otherwise i'm on the tv, they have a dvd player in the playroom as well as one each in their bedrooms.. no more fighting over what to watch!! is bliss *happy sigh*
Pah Troika!! I'm not jealous at all.
Where did you say you got that splitter...??
I just remembered BooBah on ITV - what a pile of tosh!!! Blatant Teletubbies rip off and I don't think I've seen them do anything other than waggle thier foot about a bit :frown: ! So that's banned!!
Wish I could get my older ones off Cartoon Network and into Blue Peter, Grange Hill even! Even Boomerang would do - they used to watch that all the time - at least there's a few more cartoons that aren't so into yellling on there!

My two (now 18 and 15 this year) really liked the Gummie Bears and Fraggle Rock :) We used to sit there on a Sunday morning and have breakfast in front of the TV together, one adult and two ankle biters sat on the floor in front of the TV eating either cereals, toast or bacon and egg butties and drinking strawberry milkshakes - used to wind my ex up big time - she was the one that missed out not I though!

I used to watch it at my grandparents with toast (a white loaf that you had to slice yourself :o  ), butter (melted by the electric bar fire) and treacle - mmmm yummy   .
Thanks Holly.
Am now singing the theme tune to raggy dolls.
