So,

Bennifer have split up! (thank the good lord i hear you all cry!)

BUT

do we think Ben Affleck will now be able to pull his finger out and actually make a good film? has he actually EVER made a good film? did his fling with JLo wreck his credibility ? or didnt he have any in the first place?

Whaddya say?

(BTW I saw wedding planner on Sky and I thought Jlo was chronic - i should have put her on our cringe list)

*sigh*

I cannot believe that those two non-entities were actually one of the headlines on the news today.

I couldn't give a stuff about their shallow, irrelevant nonsense and I wish this kind of 'twaddle' was kept where it belongs - ie, tween magazines, *tchoh* . :frown:.

Same goes for all those other ''celeb'' couples ! :toilet:

Yes, definitley a high cringe factor, too ;)

;)

I wish this cult of celebrity would burn out too, its so dull....and how come every darn film these days has to have nicole kidman in it, or renee zellweger? both totally overrated stick insects with very little charisma

give me bette davis anyday! now there was a woman with attitude!

Or audrey hepburn! :P

It is really quite dull all the celebrity stuff, maybe its just the gossip thing, everyone can gossip about people in the national news,
They don't all have to know the same ppl personally to talk about them.

Bennifer was in i think two good films i can name!

...the user comments on that thing are usually pretty useless imho.... but i guess the rating is a guide .. its so subjective anyway though who will like what film and why etc . then agen i spose that applies to everything.

dazed and confused (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106677/) ... a good quasi school leavers type film but not your comedy gross out thing, set in 1976 last day of school and just about the different ppls day and stuff .. is not heavyweight just kindagood to watch ..with some cracking "period" ;) music :)

and...

chasing amy (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118842/)
a kevin smith one which is a bit odd but seemed okay...and yet still kevin smithish
[ kevin smith is director/writer guy who did a few films and they are related to each with characters and stuff .. first one was "clerks" ..that got awards at cannes and stuff!]
mostly his films a bit young and silly :P , chasing amy was his grown up romantic comedy one[said with a *wink*] , with a good ben affleck!

Hey! Ben affleck has done quite a few good films! Gigli and that time travelling one have had mixed reviews, but he has some other great ones. As vernon said - chasiny amy - a fantastic film. Dogma, somewhat controversial, but incredibly funny. Mallrats, Jay and silent Bob strike back (not everyones cup of tea, but its hilarious! :P) Daredevil - one of the better comic to film transitions. Phantoms was also pretty good. Good Will Hunting (very good). Armageddon...erm debatable ;) Boiler room, and finally Changing lanes. Thats all off the top of my had, and no, i'm not a big fan lol. It seems to be, that the media just like sl*gging him off because him and Jlo tried to keep their personal lives private - and god forbid anyone push the media out of their personal lives! ;)

I also agree that Kidman and zellweger should be dropped in a hole. They are utterly useless and still seem to pop up everywhere!

You all leave my Ben alone :frown: Haha! Did I really say that! :D

My hubs thinks he's a useless meathead, but he can act in my opinion, most noticeably in the Kevin Smith movies. I always imagine he was with JLo cos... well you know his character in "Mallrats" *snigger* And we just rented "Daredevil" to watch this weekend cos although the mainstream press thought it was ********py I've heard some good things about it, so fingers crossed!

On other matters! How does JLo keep getting movie roles??? She's *terrible* Gosh... there's no "Ban JLo" emoticon ;) What an oversite!

And Renee Zellweger, I only like her in Bridget Jones where she at least looks human and I can pretend she's a Brit! Nasty Yanks ;) (I can say that cos I lived there for 4 years and my hubs is American ;) )
