So, are you worried about the effects the World Cup will have, if any, to your neighbour or community noise, or ASB etc?
If you vote 'Yes', please post and tell us what is worrying you.
Hope it's calm for all. :)
Yesterday I would have voted no, as I can see no reason why it would really cause an effect, but tonight our new NFH went off to the pub, presumably to watch the game, leaving the daughter at home with her friend so we had dance music blaring and plenty of banging and slamming untill 9.30 when they tottered off in the direction of the pub, presumably to join the parents at the end of the match.
Around 11.30 there were sounds of some one crashing round the house (possibly a bit worse for wear?) and just now (1.05am) I can hear more crashing going on.
I also would have said no, but last night a neighbour in another street had a garden party, yesterady afternoon we were treated to vindaloo approx 7 times in a row along with other football anthems, and they eventaully went indoors gone midnight :(
it only effected us when we had the back door open but it was the closer neighbours I felt for

I voted yes...alcohol and football (I've left out the nfh equation for now) usually mean trouble is brewing (hence the banning of booze inside grounds) but add in the usual nfh traits of total selfishness, noise nuisance, abuse and often violence and there's no way people won't be affected :(
Thankfully, my house is a football free zone for the first time in 37 years :) Yippee :)

I voted yes - not so much my NFH, as they are so terrifically middle class that they don't seem to watch the footy (by middle class I mean stuck up, I'm not meaning to offend ;)). There's a student house 3 doors up, however, that seem to have got hold of those awful vuvuzelas judging by the racket on saturday.
My neighbourhood in general definitely takes a turn for the worse during England footballing times. We're 10 mins from the town centre and our quiet road is a bit of a cut-through at night for drunks. Now that we have our delightful Yates' in town open till 3:30am, related noise goes on all night. Last saturday there was a lot of the old chanting going on - it beats me why people feel they need to chant 'England' when they live in England!
I love the footy but don't feel the need to get razzed up so I can sing all my way home. :D
