150 cameras were installed in one neighborhood just to track all the movements of Muslims' cars, (http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2010/jun/04/surveillance-cameras-birmingham-muslims) lest some of them be terrorists.
It does not surprise me that the UK government lied to the local government about the purpose of this. Now the challenge is to get rid of this, and the other car-tracking cameras all across the UK.
