An Energy firm has taken the first step towards re-submitting a windfarm plan for the Mearns which was previously thrown out by councillors.

In 2001, Renewable Energy Systems applied for permission to erect a £14million, 10-turbine farm at Meikle Carewe, near Stonehaven.

I like the windfarms, I find the sight quite calming - I must be weird!

There are a few planned windfarm developments near my way and although I can see the objections and concerns, they bring employment, cleaner fuel over all and some people (e.g. me!) will go and see them = brings in visitors to remote areas.

Overall, I think they are good news, I wouldn't even mind one in my sightline. :)

I think they are beautiful

and they only make a lot of noise if you are very very close to them

I think we really need to be saving our planet by using reusable energy, I would much prefere to look at one of those swan like wind farms then a concrete nuclear powerplant, safer too

but thats my opinion and we all have different views
