I notice that the BBC has added some more dancers to the BBC1 station ''ident'' collection...even the Masai tribe has now been drafted in :o !

I am so fed up with them - I think most of them are a real assault on the eye - especially those hideous dancers that show their midriffs off, wearing really obnoxious dreadful eighties throwback clothes: ugh, black patent shiney plasticky caps, red and black stripes eveywhere, horrid fishnet gloves and yuk boots :sicky:

And I wish those two fools on that roof would just fly over the edge :P !

I wish they'd bring back the clock - I liked it at Xmas when they tarted it up a bit with tinsel  . What did we get this year? Kids running about in horrid looking scratchy costumes, made me feel dizzy looking at it, but worst of all, it was a repeat from last year's Xmas ident!!!

Even the balloon would do!! Just save me from those dancers and that infernal 'jingle'

Double d'oh Sp!!! :hihi:

The relection of the the bridge was Tower Bridge and was for Thames TV (at least I think so...) !!! Mind you Grananda might be using it for some progs, they may have taken on some of Thames TV's stuff when they ended their reign on TV :D .

I remember the silver statue - reminds me af Nicholas Parsons as it was always on after 'Sale Of the Century' (oh but that's for a different thread althogether!!)

They dont particularly bother me, and I actually quite like the 'salsa dancing' one,
but it was very cheap of the BBC to recycle last years snowflake chidren.

i think their idents are better than the ones ITV has...various and sundry 'celebs' staring moodily and pouting at the camera, locks a flowing courtesy of the wind machine!!! i have to confess i dont even recognise some of them!!!

Ahhhh, yes, that balloon over the scenery was great. Wasn't it filmed in Wales or Scotland, I can't quite remember? :D

wasnt there a massive furore about how much that balloon cost and what a waste of our tv licence money it was?

i liked it though, why dont they keep on using it?
