When I was at school our science teacher showed us how a ringing alarm clock could be made silent by creating a vacum to stop the air from vibrating. Would it not be possible for this noice cancelling method to be scaled up to an entire building? It would have an air lock system similar to the Space Station used by Nasa.
Peace and quiet; Yes!
But sometimes music has to be heard.
